Taco Joint was a staple for me in undergrad, I went aaaaall the time. Now when I visit Austin, I always make a point to stop by for some breakfast tacos. Every time I always get a potato, egg, & cheese (this time I branched out a little) and it never fails to hit the spot. I always grab the avocado sauce to top it off. Quality is always great and the food always comes out quickly. Lots of patio seating outside as well as inside seating. This time my brother's order was switched around a little bit - what he got wasn't quite what he ordered but he enjoyed it nonetheless.

Perfect spot for a quick bite. They have a fairly large patio if you'd like to sit outside or take it to go. They get pretty busy on the weekends. This day we sat outside to enjoy our meal. My go to is usually the Street Taco. It was was good, but I feel like the taco's used to be larger. Queso is on point. Decided to try and Enchilada Fries and they were pretty tasty! Also can't forget to pair it with a Mexican Coke :) Also if you like spicy try their Habanero Salsa.

The tacos were pretty meh. We got the 4/20, crockett, bacon egg & cheese, and the benedicto steak. The tortillas were a bit dry and the meat chewy. Very nice service though!

What can I say, it's a classic! Great breakfast tacos, classic ingredients, pretty large tacos, reasonably priced, nice salsas, and a pretty short line in the morning!

We stayed at an overpriced hotel to see the eclipse and I couldn't wait to stretch our legs and have authentic tacos. They were so heavenly, we ate there at least once a day. They have a great selection and serve them up super fast. We never got tired of the menu! Lots of great outdoor spots to eat with hungry birds watching your every bite, waiting for your scraps. Highly recommended!

Damn, been here several times and always enjoyed it...This time, made me never want to come back. The food was over the top salty. Almost inedible. Bizarre, considering how great it had been before. Not only that, but once the "newness" of the place wears off, you notice how dirty it actually is. Employees filling salsa containers with no gloves, touching it. Not washing the trays, but rather wiping them with the same dirty cloth they use to wipe the tables. Beyond disgusting. Will never return. $80 waste of money.
Delicious tacos. Visiting from San Antonio and I was impressed. Customer service is excellent at this location.

i'm very picky about tacos and i'll say that this place has amazing breakfast tacos! the lunch tacos are also decent. I order from this place at least once a week, and my favorite is their migas. it's hard to find good migas, but theirs is soooooo good. I see the same people every time i'm there, so I think that's a good sign and I believe they're a family owned business but i'm not 100% sure. they've always been good to me. I will say this however, their portions seem just a bit larger when you eat in as opposed to takeout... maybe it's my imagination but I don't think so. that being said... if you're able to, eat in!

I was pleasantly surprised by this Taco Joint. I've passed by it many times without even giving it a shot. Glad I did today! The breakfast taco was a hit for me. Great portions and homemade tortillas! I'll definitely be back.

I love this place! Their Vegan option, "El Vegan" is sooo good! And the side of plantien chips is a huge plus!Vegetarian options: Idk I'm not vegetarian but I am Vegan and they have one called El Vegan. Get that!
