The owner need to do something NOW!
The quality and service at Taco Palenque NW 620 have declined significantly. As a frequent customer, I’m disappointed. I preffer to drive to the Round Rock location to get good service.
Today, I ordered a fideo soup and only received broth without fideos, and the street tacos were almost inedible. I hope they take steps to improve.

I've been going to the Taco Palenque in Laredo for over 20 years, and I am SO THANKFUL they finally opened one in the Austin area. Well, it isn't really in my area. It's 22 miles away from where I live, but it's worth the drive. You will NOT find a better taco in the Austin area, except for maybe Pappasitos, but for drive thru Tex Mex, it doesn't get any better! The crunchy beef tacos are the best I have ever eaten in my life, besides the ones my mom used to make. They also use that delicious, creamy government-type cheese on the top, which complements the flavor of the meat so well. I also appreciate the crunch of the shell, which is so good, it just make one want to weep. IThe refrieds & flour tortillas are my second favorite. The flour tortillas are the real deal here, too....made with manteca & lots of love! If the owner reads this review: PLEASE OH PLEASE open a Taco Palenque in South Austin!

Bad service, this is the second time I come and the service is very bad. The woman at the register was upset when they got my order wrong. Don't waste your time here, better go to the one in Cypress they believe. They do have good service there.

I think it's delicious but the restrooms always have bad odor that hits you when you walk in and out, someone should check the restrooms every hour.
Abundant and rich dishes

The entrance of the store was so stinky. When we tried to use the restroom we discovered why, it was so nasty and the lights wasn’t working. The sides bar was so bad, most of the items were missing, one tomato sauce was spoiled, the lettuce was dry and brown. The cabbage was also all dry. And the horchata water was spoiled too.

Honestly I was so excited when yall put this location here now I’m just disappointed!!! Every time I come I either wait for one taco or get pulled forward.
Today I thought going inside would be faster but no it took them 20mins for one taco and everyone after me go their food first I will not be coming back
First experience at TP was in Laredo many years ago; it was very good. Not sure when Palenque got here, but my only experience with TP in this city was 2 days ago, and it was the opposite. Flour tortillas not on the comal long enough which caused them to not only look but taste like flattened dough. 8 tacos were hastily made, wrapped and just a sloppy mess. Taste was average. Drive through service was average.

Overall the food is decent for the price, they really fill up the tacos, and give you an extra tortilla if you want to split into two separate tacos. I feel the food is decently fresh, and still comes out in a few minutes. Prices are about where I'd expect depending on what you add.
Can order yourself at a screen or go to the register. Never seems to be too busy. Hidden behind chick fila.
Give them a try, been back multiple times.

Place has great Tex Mex classics in a fast food model. 100% upgrade from Taco Cabana or other FF Tex Mex restaurants.

So, so good! Not only is the food great, but you can help yourself to the chips and salsa. Service is great and the prices are on point. I can't say enough. I love a good bean and cheese burrito, and although it's not on the menu, it's awesome. Right or wrong, I judge all Mexican food place on the quality of their beans and they have the best refried beans of any fast food (or dare I say restaurant) in the greater Austin area. Trust me, I'm a crazy, gringo Mexican food afficionado.

Taco Cabana better watch out cuz there's a new kid in town. The food was awesome, the people were friendly, and the place was clean and fresh, with bright colors and an open atmosphere. Would be great for breakfast tacos in the morning. A bright warm sunshiny atmosphere makes a huge difference in the morning . Did I mention clean? Lots of white tile and stainless steel. All of it was spotless. Just a hint, try the corn! Amazing!
Parking: Plenty of room lots of parking places not to mention Lowe's being next door. A definite plus. If you're hauling a trailer in the morning you still got a place to park.

The Super Quesadilla is delicious!
I go through Drive Thru to eat in my office, the service is excellent, I have been lucky enough to have Elizabeth serve me on many occasions, she is incredible, everything arrives at my table as I ask.
