Really good and the teenagers likes the interactive experience.
If you think the food is bland, you should probably have used the spice bar with all the condiments to you know... Make it not bland.

Really yummy. Lots of options for all kinds of different diets--everything from the broths to the add-ons. They also have a bar off to the side with a bunch of extra sauces and stuff. Service is always great. That sauce bar could be a bit more clean but the food is always really great. I would recommend having a time sheet for each meat (how long you need to cook it for, what temperature, etc) but this is a place you could go to a dozen times and not get bored.

Customers can pay upfront and receive attentive service, with staff refilling broth and replacing water jugs as needed. The restaurant's cozy atmosphere and private seating areas make for a great dining experience. Many customers have enjoyed the food and friendly staff, especially the owner who cares about her customers. Vegetarians will find plenty of vegetables, tofu, and mushrooms, while broth choices include the popular Tom Yum broth. Although the choose-it-yourself style can feel cramped and parking may be challenging close to the building, there is ample parking farther away. Overall, Hotpot Alley provides a delicious meal with good value and a welcoming environment.
