First time to Tamale House and most likely our last. Had the “migas” plate but I’m
Not sure why that is called migas. Super disappointed, mostly crispy tortillas and the plate looked very unappetizing. Had to place my own order, tip and rate before getting our food. Wayyyy over priced! The place is beautiful but the sore on the, I guess hostess was uh, gross. Abreva girl! This is my first ever bad review, because it was bad y’all! Sorry Tamale House!

Accessibility for those with Mobility needs, spectacular food. A little kick in the meals but delightful and delicious. We tried Mexican iced coffee, enchiladas, street tacos, huevous ranchero all perfectly executed. Truly one of the top restaurants for this cuisine.
Staff was prompt, friendly and proprietor was on site warmly welcoming patrons even helping in paying for parking with their free code.

It saddens me to give this review, because I'm an original Austinite from East Austin. I dont get the ordering from your phone, especially a restaurant that's been around for years. I also dont feel anyone should be paying $5.00 for chips and salsa. The breakfast we ate reminded me of my grandma's breakfast, but the plate and portion sizes were so small for $15.00. The portion would fit right in for a child's plate at most restaurants, and I still felt hungry after leaving. I know the economy isn't the best, but I would expect far more from what we paid, which was about $80 for breakfast for 2 adults and 2 kids.

This place is a special gem!! Authentic as it gets. The best tamales I've had in my life. Don't short change your self and not also get their mexi-coffee as well which is their home version of an iced horchata.

The tamales were good. However I had no idea the sauces were like $3+ each until I got the bill.
