It's a trailer truck run by nice ladies, give 'em some business.

I write this review with sadness in my heart. Sadness because I just walked into my backyard, peeked over the fence, and saw that Taqueria Mi Tierra was not open. 8:30 a.m. on a Saturday, and I can't get the best Migas breakfast taco I've ever consumed. It's a sad day indeed. I love, love, love this place. The people working there are incredibly friendly, and you can tell they genuinely appreciate your business. And I have serious love for mobile vendors because I was a vending cart employee for 3 years in college. So ya know, mad props. (Also, when did I become someone who says 'mad props'?) I've only ever had the migas, but they're just so good I can't bring myself to move on and try something different. The only thing I wish: more consistent hours. But, considering I can see their open sign from my backyard, I suppose I shouldn't complain _too_ much. If they posted their hours somewhere, I would bump this up to 5 stars in a hurry.

This taco truck permanently resides in a combination laundromat/liquor store/gas station. We don't have combination laundromat/liquor store/gas stations in California. "Keep Austin weird" or whatever, but it works. I ordered off the menu, asking for a burrito with rice, beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato. Not gonna lie - it sort of sucked. Was cold and pretty bland. Beans weren't good, nothing seemed fresh. My meat eating homeboy said the meat in his burrito was bomb as fuck. Great service, friendliest people you could ever meet, super low prices ($2.50 for burritos) coupled with "bomb as fuck" meat and an awesome location gives this unassuming taco truck four stars. If it were strictly based on my veggie burrito alone though I'd probably slap them with a 2.5 stars.

If only their hours were more consistent... and their menu more accurate. Granted, they have incredible breakfast tacos, key to staying in business in Austin. But when a sign says that they have lengua, and the girl gets a sad look and says that they don't, well, hilarity is not what ensues. It's more sadness. That said? It rules. A lot. I want to give them 5 stars, but it's just too unpredictable.

We just stopped here because it was on the way to I-35 and we were running late. It was about 10:30 on Saturday and no one else was there ordering or anything. I was a little disappointed that they had no burritos...out of tortillas I guess but that seems like a simple enough thing to keep in stock. I got 2 ham, potato & cheese soft tacos...for whatever reason my boyfriend ordered 2 with flour and 2 with corn tortillas so I had one of each. They were the deeeelicious! Piping hot since she had just made them. Both red and green salsa were great as well- some kick but not overly spicy. We will definitely be stopping here again!
