Delightful little oasis just off a busy street and you wouldn’t notice. Try the cereal milk latte and the bread is fresh. Watch for acorns.

Even before their 2022 fire, it had been many years since I visited TFB, a place I frequented in my days as UT. We decided to try it for brunch on a gorgeous weather day to sit outside and were bitterly disappointed with the value. The photo is of my $14 (before tip) meal! I took the pic about 1/3 way thru the avocado toast bec I was still reeling at the price and thought it best to give some feedback. The thin slice of bread with some well seasoned mashed avocado was delicious, but that was literally all we got! The cappuccino was horrid, like it came out of an instant pod, bec it had a weird after taste. I would love to continue supporting a local staple. But TFB, you gotta do a little better for the price point and can’t just call it avocado tartine so it sounds fancy but not deliver. At least a small side of fruit or breakfast potatoes or perhaps 2 slices of avocado toast, if that’s all that’s being served, so we don’t have to drive away from brunch and literally go shell out more money for lunch and better coffee elsewhere! The outdoor seating was dog friendly and lovely under trees but the uneven footing may be a little tough for those with mobility issues.

It’s been a couple years since I have dined at TFB. Have received cookie tins the last 3 years. This business is above magnificent!
Great service, great food and overall great people. TFB cares about what and who they are serving. Always consistent!
And btw, I’m from Omaha Nebraska!!!!
I love receiving their emails, Murph is so eloquent in his messages. He makes me feel like I am part of the family

A truly gift-like place. The leaves on the long branches of the oak tree extending downward block out the sunlight, giving it a cozy feeling. It's a great place to come in mid-November when the sun is shining and the wind is cool in Austin.

On Saturday afternoon, many people leisurely come out, park their cars in front of the store, and enjoy a meal. Eating a simple sandwich alone or having brunch with family are good options.

A clerk takes orders in front of a small food truck. There is a table in front of the clerk selling French bread such as croissant and baguette, so if you only want bakery items, you can pick them up right away.

Recommended for those who want to feel the gentle breeze on holiday.

Not what I expected. A tiny Avacado Tartine and a latte total almost $20. The avocado topping is pretty tasty, but the toast is so hard, even after I tore it apart before bitting, it still hurt my mouth. And with a food truck in a yard setting, ordering at a folding table, the only service is that my toast was brought to me. The customers are expected to clear the table themselves after. The pastries are all individually wrapped making me think that they’re not fresh.

So far I have had every soup that they had to offer and they are all amazing. Even though they're building burned down if you go in the back you'll see that they have a fresco dining that is such a beautiful scenery. I recommend this place!

I’ve been coming to TFB since 2017 and unfortunately the quality has gone down significantly. The price is not worth it anymore. Please serve the hot latte hot and not lukewarm, this is the only place that this happens in town. I hope this changes.

Don't let the devastated building stop you, come visit and enjoy the deliciousness in their peaceful courtyard covered in tree shade! We were delighted to be perfectly comfortable under the giant oak tree even in the summertime.

Delicious sweet AND savory pastries fresh daily, lots of coffee offerings and a full lunch menu available!

We found Texas French Bread on TGTG and loved their generous offering, returned as full-price paying customers- I definitely recommend both ?

I moved NW of the city several years ago so I was unaware of the situation at this place. I was happy to see they have their food truck providing service. I am hoping the community continue to support this popular spot since the 80's. Try the chocolate cake! I still need to find the time to go back and have breakfast here.

We traveled from out of town and wanted a quick breakfast and this was the place to go! The service was great and the food was tasty. If you’re looking for a chill place to study this would be the place. The food is a little pricy.

I buy TFB products at Boggy Creek Farm and I use to love the English muffins. But no longer because once they were not baked through, and they tasted like hamburger buns and not in a good way.
