I dont know how this place has bad reviews honestly some of my favorite seafood boils in Austin. I wish I had some photos to share but I started eating right when it hits the table. Snow crab and some shrimp is the combo, spicy with Cajun seasoning so delicious I dream of this place. If I was rich I’d be here once a week. Also the fried pickles are the best in Austin hands down

Our waitress Shelby was on point, she provided great service! I wouldn’t even give 1 star for the food, or the Manager, but I had to give at least 1 star in order to leave a review. The manager stopped by to ask how our food was, however really didn’t care to hear about it. I let her know that my food was extremely spicy. Her response was, well you are at a Cajun restaurant, with attitude. Then she completely shut that down by proceeding to speak with the rest of the table. Mind you I ordered Pirates Treasure, which showed only to have a lemon butter sauce, no mention at all of Cajun spices. My husband had no cheese on his baked potato, he was told it’s there, it’s just melted into the chipotle chicken, nope… My friend also proceeded to tell the manager how absolutely disgusting the women’s restroom was, her words- “the worst she has ever seen” the manager also dismissed that with more rudeness & attitude. The food used to be great! We were not impressed, clearly a reflection of the manager running it!

I had a fantastic night at The Boat — we kicked off with Boudin Balls and Chargrilled Gulf Oysters, then got a combo with fried catfish and popcorn shrimp (with hush puppies, of course). The Cajun-style boiled shrimp by the pound was a standout — fresh, spicy, and satisfying.

The staff were warm, upbeat, and really on their game, especially when the patio filled up. The outdoor stage, live music, and relaxed coastal decor made the whole evening feel like a mini getaway. Can’t wait to go back for their crawfish boil and try more of their seafood towers.

Bar order for outside tables. Music and football game specials make it fun.

I received a to-go order delivered to my hotel room by Door Dash. Food was delivered quickly by a very nice delivery driver and received around a 50% tip to boot! I had ordered a catfish/shrimp basket with fries and a side of hush puppies, with an iced tea To drink. When I received the order there was no iced tea, nor were there any condiments (ketchup, tartar sauce). The fried shrimp were over cooked, tough and dry. Catfish was okay, hush puppies were okay. They at least put in plastic utensils to eat their dry food. Would have been nice to have had something to wash down their dry food! Ted Snelling Alice, TX

UNSAFE. Their improperly washed vegetables have given me food poisoning like five times and management doesn't care

Edit - Yes, over the course of the last 18 months I've discussed it with three different members of your wait staff and with your shift manager (Isaac I think?) twice. Buying a salad from you guys is still a roll of the dice, even when you're not serving lettuce that's visibly brown and slimy (which has happened multiple times).

If you were going to fix the problem, you would have by now. I'm not spending another sleepless night on the toilet because of you people.

A cozy yet lively seafood restaurant with two bars. Bignets were absolutely delicious; I loved every bite. Crab pops, and Boudin sausage were also delicious. Flavors were layered for a delicious experience. Thank you!

Food tasted good but for the quantity and price, not so good. Might be good to acknowledge if an item is spicy hot on the menu.
Live band was great I will be back to see Slim and The Phat Tones.

The food was good. The service was ok. I sat on the patio. So, I had to order at the bar before going outside. Once they brought the food, that was it. No one else came to check on you until someone came to pick up the dishes. I enjoyed the live band on the patio. The mild temperature with very little humidity & the band made it all worth it.

The Boat has a fun, casual vibe. We tried them again for an Office Lunch last week and the food was again, decent. Nothing that really stood out for any of our party. The portions were a little less than average for the price; some dishes could have used a little more flavor. Service was friendly, the staff would definitely be more valuable if they were a little more educated on dishes and items they suggest. Everyone ended up switching their orders based on staff suggestions and that was a mistake. Overall, it’s a good spot if you’re in the area and craving seafood, but not necessarily a place I’d go out of my way for, all things considered.

Music on the patio was awesome food was great chairs on the patio the worse thing I have ever sat on. Very uncomfortable to the point that after 10 minutes I was ready to leave. Cheap 10 dollar chairs from Walmart would have been way better. Having to go I side to order food and drinks at the bar with 2 guys working and a line of 20 people waiting to get served was beyond ridiculous. You wanna hang out with friends and enjoy the food and music but spend half the night waiting in lane and you can see or hear the music. That just sucked. Get a wait staff on busy nights so people can actually enjoy them selves. Seriously figure it out.
