The Butterfly Bar, as well as Patrizi’s (Italian food truck and Austin staple), are both part of the Vortex, a live theater venue with extensive outdoor seating. The Butterfly Bar has an 100-year-old bar top, a small area for indoor seating, friendly staff, and plenty of clean gender neutral bathrooms. But I’m here to hype up their red sangria! I really like this space, great mezcal margaritas, ample sitting options, cool burlesque shows and delicious italian food (Patrizi's food truck) I appreciate that it's a very short drive from my house, so it will more than likely become one of my go to places. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare especially on trivia night, so plan accordingly.
