I don’t usually leave reviews but this place made me and my friend violently ill. We both order daiquiris and immediately noticed that it tasted off. We asked the bartender to remake it because both of ours tasted like paint/cleaning fluid. They kept dismissing us and told us to just drink it until we told them we wouldn’t drink them and left them at the bar. Eventually they made us both pina coladas and they tasted slightly better(still had a paint/cleaner aftertaste but we didn’t want to cause more issues) so both me and my friend drank them and later that night both of us were incredibly sick. We have no doubt it was from the frozen drinks here. It could have been an off night but I will not be drinking here again.

Right next door to Via 313 and a slightly sketchy alleyway lies The Cat’s Pajamas, the most relaxed rooftop bar you’ll find in the area. We went on a very busy night but the line to get in wasn’t too bad. Luckily this place is just off 6th so it doesn’t get the foot traffic it should. The bar is beach themed, almost like a Maragaritaville with palm tree tops lining the bar and random jet skis offering photo opportunities.
The staff is friendly and the venue is very accommodating of the weather with coverage and fans for the heat and heat lamps for those “cold” Austin nights. They have a decent amount of seating and TVs throughout the bar so you can definitely catch a game there. One of the best parts of the whole bar is the nighttime view of downtown. From there you can see the Cisco building and some other high-rises, definitely a nice contrast to the closed one or two story bars around.
The Cat’s Pajamas is a fun rooftop bar, not too crazy, not too sit down. It finds just the right spot for those who don’t want to push through crowds on the street but still want a little bit of life out of their evening. Very much recommend it for those ending a night or wanting a slow ramp up before going all out. Also, drive safe and Uber if drinking. Parking around there is a nightmare.

Just went here this past weekend and got my wallet stolen and the bartender and bouncer laughed in my face and said that they could do nothing about it. The next morning they tried to charged my account at the Nordstrom at 11:45am for $700 at the NorthPark Mall in Dallas. Do not go here, they have a scheme that involves the bar! They have been reported to the police. I know several others that have experienced the same thing

Not necessarily the bars fault but I got pick pocketed here. Took my house keys and wallet with my id and debit card. Drained my card in Dallas lol so know they aren’t locals. Would never go back - have heard this happening to other ppl here too

I ordered a sausage roll and it was so bitter and not worth $8 and I dident ask for salad looks like I’ll be going elsewhere.

really fun bar with a random jetski's, bumping speakers, and good vibes. however, i searched the entire place and didn't see any cat's in pajamas. super misleading name and i got pretty excited to see some cats in pajamas. maybe they were hiding but i definitely was upset when i didnt find them. would've been 5 stars if the cats were out in pajamas

Update: someone tried to run her credit card the next morning for $1,300. Based on the other reviews, it seems like things are stolen at this place on a regular basis.My wife’s wallet was stolen out of her purse tonight while we were at Cat’s Pajamas. We tried calling as soon as we realized it was missing, 10 minutes after we left, and nobody has answered the phone.

First of all let me just say this is the greatest place on earth, truly a paradise. The bartenders here are the most caring loving people around. I met one of the bartenders Devan and I feel like I have known her my whole life. She takes the best care of everyone she serves and radiates fantastic energy. Highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone! 10/10

I came all the way from Florida to spend my Easter break down here at Austin... and by far this is the worst service I’ve gotten from the bartender girl. She got mad because I order mojitos which she said they weren’t making those ... and then I asked for a draft beer, which she didn’t have either and got mad again , god knows why... she was in such an awful mood and told me to hurry in what I wanted to order, rolled her eyes at me and and walked away. The guy who asked me for ID was the only smiley face.Oh! And I forgot to say, I went to Little Woodrow's West 6th Bar & Grill that was across them... they didn’t have any mojitos, but their hospitality made me stay and have some drinks!! I assure you the bartender girls over there won’t be pissed at you without a damn reason !!!!
