Consistently great food and love the variety.
Nice easy walk to get there from work, has fresh n good hot meals if you get there before they run out, if they do run out you still have good sandwiche and salad type options. They also have some great convenience store type items if needed. The staff has always been so nice!

I can't say enough good things about the Chuckwagon Cafe! It's become a regular favorite, and a huge part of that is the incredible staff. They are truly the best – always welcoming and genuinely friendly every time I visit. A special thank you to Ms. Francis, who is always so sweet and greets you with a warm smile; she's fantastic and always happy to help with any food adjustments needed. Tom and Kim are also absolutely wonderful, consistently making the rounds, greeting customers, and making everyone feel right at home. Beyond the stellar service, the food is consistently amazing and delicious! They have such a great variety on the menu, and I love that there are always different daily specials to try. Plus, their fun holiday meals add a special touch. Seriously, everything I've had has been top-notch. I genuinely love coming here – highly recommended!
The Chuckwagon Café has become one of my favorite spots for coffee and breakfast tacos, both in the morning and at lunch. Among all the options within state-operated buildings, it stands out as the best café in the Capitol complex, even surpassing the Capital Grille in terms of quality and customer service.
It was clean. Probably the most convenient place for nearby employees but it was difficult to get to. Street ends. Really good cafeteria food. Good selection.

Very popular with the local government workers as it has good breakfast and lunch options with a fair price. The owner guy sometimes appears sad when he's sitting to rest, but he shouldn't be sad at all. He should be proud.
One of the better options on the capitol complex for sure!
1st timer. Great experience. Friendly staff. Frances and Joe were so polite. Met owner Tom. He really takes an interest in making sure you know the all the food options available. The coffee was fabulous! I had a flat white. Better than Starbucks. I purchased a migas taco for breakfast. Very few places offer that. I was blindsided when I saw the lunch menu. I saw a picture of the shrimp gumbo. I can't wait to try that. Great location. I'll be back!

Best place to eat at the Capitol Complex!
I go here almost everyday for lunch and it is amazing. The food selection is always delicious and everything is responsibly priced. I’d much rather go here than anywhere else!
