Food is ok at best..my biggest issue is they don't make enough food...they will be out of lunch before lunch is even over...unless you got at 1030-11 you're not going to get any food which in my opinion is stupid but hey...I guess lunch spots don't need to have food.

this place is so gross. serious food poisoning from expired food. don't risk it!!! they offer cow cheek and egg tacos, chorizo and onion, and bean and tripe. there's something seriously wrong with the chef. absolutely no service either, you're on your own

There’s not a lot of kosher, vegan, vegetarian options. Most everything has some type of pork or animal product. Not a lot of vegetarian options either, pretty much everything has meat or some type of animal product in/on it. When asked if a salad could be made without ham was told no ? but if you don’t eat kosher, vegan, or vegetarian its good ? if they could just leave ham, bacon and pork off some of the dishes it would be great. Just wish there were more options for all types of diets/dietary restrictions ?

Breakfast & lunch spot located on the Capitol Mall in the Barbara Jordan State Office Building. Fresh tacos, great baked goods, coffee, plate lunches. Very friendly. Packaged ice cream! Recommended.

Love the Chuckwagon and the owner/operators! The food is a great variety of lunch menu items and quick grab and go sandwiches and salads. Their pricing is good and the self checkout is nice and keeps the line moving. For those in a real rush you can add an app that allows you to buy straight away and head out the door with no wait at all. There is plenty of seating and the staff are super helpful should you need assistance.

I love walking over one building to grab some great food while on break. Tom is the owner and he's usually walking around meeting and assisting his customers. They have decent food and tons of options. Check out their Facebook page for the weekly daily specials!

The food and the service were both top notch. Great management, polite and engaged employees and the place was clean! The kiosk to pay was terrible, but that's the only minor negative - overall an *excellent* place to grab a bite to eat!

Chuckwagon has moved to new digs at the Barbara Jordan Building (also new), one block north of the Capitol. They are a welcome addition to this otherwise dead zone of food choices. Lots of healthy and delicious grab-n-go items, tons of snacks, and plenty of friendly faces!
