The service was excellent. The atmosphere is really good. The drinks were alright. The food. It's good food. Definitely try this place out. I've had the luxury of eating homemade indian cuisine (I haven't found a restaurant at the homemade level of yummy). Compared to a couple of other indian cuisine restaurants, this one is good. I'm accustomed to more flavor, though. Also, the level of extra hot spiciness, I expected more. They may have forgotten to spice my dish up. No problem. It was still good food.Definitely make this place an option and check it out.

We tried to place an online order with a gift card. Thre was no place in the system to pay with a gift card, so I called to place an order. They WOULD NOT take an order over the phone, stated the website was down (sure seems to take an order if we were going to pay with a credit card) said the only way to use it would be to go there. Poor customer service for sure.

Should lower expectations if trying Indian food. This food is a fusion not authentic Indian food. Biryani is average(not Hyderabadi style). The curries are not great, tasting sweet which typically not found in Indian curries.

Went in on a Friday night, not too busy and was seated right away. Liv was our server and she KILLED IT. I don’t eat out much as it hard to find good food and or service, but I was not disappointed. From the mussels to the butter chicken to the dessert, everything was amazing. Give that girl and the cooks a raise.

Wow Clay Pit really up their game since I last visited. Gone was the all you can eat buffet from my UT days, I still dream of them and $9.99 lunch buffets, so clutch. Nowadays Clay Pit is a bit more upscale in terms of plating and pricing. Get the calamari though as a starter, perfectly fried and full of flavor, you also should get all the nann, garlic and non garlic, I wasn't digging the cheese infused nann, just seems wrong. Also tried the mussels, got a nice kick ? For main dishes most of the entrees are good, I recommend chicken dishes as an ode to the classic and lunch buffets. Service was impeccable, we had a table of 15 and she was wonderful and attentive.
Probably the best Indian food in Austin, although I have had better in Dallas-Fort Worth. Food portion is appropriate for what you pay for. Service is polite. Atmosphere is nice. They have so much seating, 3 floors of it. The butter chicken is to die for. Bryani is flavorful. There’s so much flavor in Indian food.
This place now has me hooked on butter chicken! We had never had indian food prior to trying out this restaurant and this place was fantastic! The garlic cheese naan was delicious as was the butter chicken. Full of flavor!
