Since moving from Austin I haven’t had good Indian cuisine in a while. My husband and I were staying at a hotel near by and while walking (2 blocks over) to a parking garage we smelled this place! We went back for lunch and wow!! It was amazing. A must! Also, the best calamari I’ve ever had! Very excited to go back.
The Buttered Chicken is absolutely superb! Creamy, authentic taste, delicious!
It goes well with Mango Lasi drink.
I give this place 5 stars.

I keep forgetting to leave this review! My wife, kids and I were in the other night, visiting from out of state. The Clay Pit came highly recommended and did not disappoint. In addition to the excellent Nariyal and garlic naan, the atmosphere was relaxing. But above all else, our server Gwen was incredible. She was so kind to our children and very attentive to us the entire time. She made the experience 10/10 and we will definitely be coming back next time we’re in Austin.
