Must visit while in Austin! Went for happy hour on Friday and the Blues Specialists were awesome!

The Continental Club is a must stop in your travels. I was in Austin for two days and I popped in on both of them. The live music is wonderful and the staff is friendly.

See a live show here!
We had a great time watching the band! Iconic place to visit.
Did not have any food, cannot provide a review for that. Server that came to our table was great! The service at the bar was just OK. Bartender wasn’t very pleasant to interact with when we ordered our initial drinks and when we were informed that we had to close out our bar tab to have the service at our table.

Just prioritize a visit.
The pinnacle music experience on South Congress (SoCo) is what awaits you any given night of the week. The artists in residence define the Austin music experience, especially on the roots music motif.
You get that great blues with the Blues Specialists and Sundays are packed with country roots served by elite level pickers.
My favorite evenings include the great James McMurtry with his rocking band and Dale Watson, the king of Austin country.
Pop in upstairs at the Gallery for a little funkier flavors . Josh Perdue, David Jimenez, Da Homies all steer you into the feeling to get up and dance.
The staff behind the bar is not to be outdone. You'll find the best of Austin back behind those bars and if you get the chance to ask about some of their favorite experiences you'll probably hear about some pretty amazing goings-on over the years as this is a favorite spot for many celebrities visiting town. Heck, the locals hanging out regularly are pretty interesting as well.
Do yourself a favor and drop in often. Austin's finest.
