In what lacks in the quality of the service (& at least somewhat of the drink-making), is made up for in its ambience & history, and overall energy of the place. Worth dropping by for a drink at the very least.
We just walked through this pace on a visit to Austin and were amazed how beautiful it is. All the details and furniture have been particularly selected and made for this space. It looks amazing.

Nice place to have a drink. Interior decor and vibe were very Texan. Better than your average hotel bar. The Driskill is a beautiful historic hotel. Meander through the main hotel lobby too.
