Why is this place so popular? I'm baffled.
Looooong line to order. (Pro tip, order two drinks at one time so you don't have to go back through the line again.) The drinks taste good but are weak.
The food took at least 45 minutes to arrive -- after I finished my first two drinks, stood on line again, and got another two drinks. I got the beef stew, which wasn't stew at all, but more like a thin beef and carrot soup. It was the best part of the meal, but still not really good. I also got the cheese plate. It was kinda schizophrenic -- some accompaniments were sweet, like grapes and strawberries, and some were sour, like pickled vegetables. Actually, the accompaniments weren't the worst. The cheese was lame. There were three cheeses, and one was a spicy peppered cheese so strong you couldn't taste the cheese. I used the spicy pickled vegetables to drown out the spice.
And at the end, I had to bus my own table?!? Please.

This place is about the atmosphere. They have a bar, pool tables, and chess you can play. Small menu, but the chicken sandwich with slaw on it was good. Good place for a quick affordable lunch. Not sure what happens at night there, but I'm guessing that's the best time to go. It seems like the type of place that has lots of regulars. I wouldn't mind checking it out at night, if I lived in Austin.
Dive bar vibes with a really interesting and well executed food and drink menu. Some indoor seating but a huge back patio area. Very dog friendly, cool clientele. They do various theme nights like Meatless Mondays and Tuesday Steak Nights. Service is bar-service only but friendly and capable

the little darlin’ is an absolute gem. the vibes are easy going, and the yard out back is a great place to kick back. order food at the bar and they bring it out to you. and let me tell you, the food was delicious! the reuben was everything you’d want it to be, and my friends absolutely loved their burgers. will definitely make this a stop in my regular rotation.
