I wish I lived in Austin so I could be a regular at this place. I'm visiting and luckily my hotel was a couple miles away. Went for a run to try this place out. And wow!! Amazing. Menu looks insane and so does the food on people's plates. I had a latte with almond milk and added the burnt honey. Absolutely fantastic. Had I been in the mood, their pastry container was full of gorgeous options. I hope to be back in the city at some point to give it another try.
Ovenbird punches above it's weight with high quality food and great specialty coffee and tea drinks. It's surprising to find breakfast this good from a coffee shop.I've been a few times now and can't recommend the Hoppel Poppel enough (now available any day of week). Sirloin is smoky, onions and peppers are cooked to perfection, and the flavors all blend well. It never disappoints.

When all the days are done and we leave the mortal coil for the great eternity, I recommend finding the person who made this and stay near them forever. Their divinity is unquestioned. Biscuits are excellent- not the flakey things from a can, but made from scratch this morning. Sausage gravy is flavor and with an abundance of meat.
