“We live out of town, but go to Austin frequently for plays/concerts at the Bass Center on the UT campus. We wanted something close by (10 minutes away) and light. This fit perfectly. The specialty drinks are amazing, and bar delection is good. The wine list is small, and nothing really special. The food is fresh, tasty and good portions. We each had the tuna poke bowl and a pavlova shared for dessert. The place looks rather plain from the outside, and has a euro-minimalist look inside. The waitstaff is nice and helpful. Our waitress was from Belarus, and most of the staff seems eastern European, which explains the Euro-bistro feel. HIghly recommend!“
“Solid spot! It's cute and clean with lowish lighting to provide a relaxed atmosphere. We got in around 6 and soon after the tables started filling up. The staff all uses sign language, but I did have one woman who was able to take my order while a friend used the kiosk. She was super friendly and helpful even though I know basically zero sign language. I knocked off a star solely because they have vegan batter available, but absolutely none of the items are automatically vegan by switching batter. Ordered a couple of savory crepes without cheese and they're just ok. You can skip the Southwest one if you're vegan. Definitely needed something saucy added. However, the peanut butter heaven without honey is a delicious vegan option. I'd split a sweet one if you've already had a savory one, the portions are hefty.“
“When all the days are done and we leave the mortal coil for the great eternity, I recommend finding the person who made this and stay near them forever. Their divinity is unquestioned. Biscuits are excellent- not the flakey things from a can, but made from scratch this morning. Sausage gravy is flavor and with an abundance of meat. The egg looks like something an artist would spend all day perfecting for a photo shoot and they just did it on the spot. And the bacon- oh lord. Thick cut, good amount of fat, and properly cooked so the bacon melts in your mouth while also being crispy. Nice ambiance, plenty of parking. Oh, the coffee was excellent. When great coffee is an afterthought, you are doing an abundance of things right. Ovenbird- say the name out loud three times so you never forget it.“
“Love this this little gem...best customer service I've for a minute loved our waitress the salad was yummy I probably won't get the pizza again or try a different one the one I had kinda tasted like it's been sitting not fresh but not so bad I didn't eat it i will go back and try something else...you gotta try this place it's nice and cozy.“
“First time at this place and it was awesome! The owner makes each meal from scratch using only the freshest ingredients. The pasta/sauce was delicious, bread was fresh and crunchy, mussels were big and tasty, baked brie was perfect for a couple. Our waitress was wonderful! She was super friendly, attentive and ensure we had a great evening. Can't wait to get back here!“
“This place was alright. The service is friendly but slow. The food is tasty, but not the best you could find. Though it is fair for the prices. I liked the art on the walls. We did have a problem with gluten despite getting gluten free options. Obviously there was contamination, so if you were hoping to sample some gluten free options, just know you might have the same.“
“Amazing place for super tasty food. You can tell the chef here cares about the food and provides that extra bit to make things unique.I had the Belgian waffle, and there were little bits of sugar to add a separate crunch that made it taste awesome.I could hear the waiters say "corner" when walking in the kitchen. That means that they care enough to let others know they are near. They run a tight ship and everyone was friendly.“
“Great vibes! The decor is very nice and welcoming. The drinks were the highlight of the dinner and the cocktails were top notch. We did the tasting menu and it was a mixed bag. The biscuits/English muffins were definitely the best thing to get. We were not told that a shrimp dish still had a tail on it and it was hidden by tempura so that was a little surprising. The deserts were too much, and left us uncomfortably full.“
