A beautiful intimate venue. Suitable for music and events.

Came here for the Bach n' Beats concert, which was an odd experience to say the least. I'm not sure how much of this is on the venue vs the performers - I would think the venue would at least know what the concert was going to be like so there's at least some level of responsibility there, and there's always a certain disconnect between expectations and reality but I think based on even how the rest of the audience appeared to react to it, the concert was quite disappointing and not worth the money. Based on the description and name of the concert, we were expecting there to be a back and forth performance between the orchestra and DJs. The DJs would have taken some of what was being played by the orchestra and incorporate it into their mixes. OK, seems reasonable, interesting, and fun. In reality, what happened was the orchestra played *a* song (2-4 minutes) then the DJ played for ~30 minutes with *slight* hints of the song that the orchestra played. Most of the set was completely irrelevant to what was played by the orchestra and it was clear by the expressions and reactions of the orchestra (boredom) that they also didn't realize what was going to happen and basically just sat on stage for the entirety of the first set at least while the DJs did their thing; very disappointing for everyone. We were really hoping to get to experience a better mix of the local artists' performances and see something interesting, but it was quite disappointing. The drinks were cheap at least

Once a month they host a sober jam! It's really great

Nice venue with a dive bar feel. Get your tacos at the door before going in.

Interesting venue! We didn't actually manage to catch a show here, but we tried the Mexican place inside and The North Door is where you're allowed to sit as it's a walk up eatery. The venue itself definitely looks worn and bathrooms are hard to find. This would probably be a super fun place to watch a show, as it's intended, but it's interesting to experience it during the day. If I lived in Austin, I'd love to see what kind of acts come through here!

Nice venue. Friendly staff. Small stage; audience could get really close. Food and drink were available, but I cannot comment on quality or price as I did not partake.

Popped in to see Louden Swain in concert and it was awesome. The place is nice and big, they have a bar, and everyone is pretty close to the stage, if u choose to be.

Small, intimate venue. They need to work on their ticket taking/check in process as that takes excessively long but it's a really fun place to see a concert.

North Door always has tons of fun events. Great staff too.
Very cool joint! We went for the Black Widow Burlesque Presents - Spanksgiving 10th Anniversary Show. It was fantastic. Great performers giving it their all! Lots of floor seating by the long bar. Upstairs loft viewing area with tables. We hung out at the top of the stairs which is like being on the front row of a balcony at a theater. Best spot in the place if you ask me!

I usually come here for Fat Bottom Cabaret's Midnight Menagerie. The venue has fun events.

A wide variety of shows, some very far from mainstream, like a queer creative consulting sxsw party, and also trivia with the city concoct. Good stuff
