The Peacock Mediterranean Grill

The Peacock made this birthday unforgettable! The burger and fries were outstanding, but the real highlight was the incredible service. The manager surprised us with complimentary watermelon and cake! They went above and beyond to make the day special. Truly one of the best dining experiences we've had!

Peacock is one of my favorite restaurants in Austin. The food is always so good and service really attentive. I love their tajines and desserts and it's such a beautiful space both inside and outside . It can get very loud though.

We sat on the patio and had a wonderful experience. Service was great and the food was outstanding!

Exceptional food and service. It is our second time there in the past month and this time we got the scallion hummus, chopped salad and lamb kefta, all were delicious and plenty of food to split!

Seating is fair. The couch has a low back and needs a higher support. Reception was good. We were seated immediately and changed when requested. The Menu is as expected, though pricing above average. All sides are ala carte. Our saphron rice was excellent. The Hummus and appetizer was generous. The lamb chops were very good. The lamb kebob was a continuous ground meat with no vegetables and could be improved by making it several balls with vegetables. The baklava was small but excellent.

We noted on our reservation that we were celebrating a birthday. I received a birthday card upon arrival and every person who dropped something at our table wished me a happy birthday. Foor was incredible and service was perfection.

Superb food, they got fusion Mediterranean food up to a science. Loved every dish. Excellent wine selection and cocktails. Though quite pricey, I will be back on my next Austin trip

From the first stop at the check in our experience was amazing. Friendly hosts, and Ivan, our waiter was so friendly, and attentive but not overly so. We had the shallot hummus and green salad - exceptional and lived up to our expectations from previous visits. The only down side was the couch was a little sagging and difficult if a small person - may need a little attention, and the view from the chairs was not exceptional since it faced the kitchen/server area. So only a little bit to take away from our otherwise great exerperience. The wine is very pricey - if you could get a broader price range that would be a bonus. Would definitely visit again.

Second visit: Got ignored by our waitress. Egg shells in my benedict and had to send it back. She scooped up the plate in a huff. She didn't offer an apology or offer to take it off the bill. Ever try to enjoy eggs after you are left picking egg shells out of your teeth? Instead of a relaxed brunch at the restaurant in the Proper Hotel, it ended up feeling like we had a server from Denny's. Another server came over to take our order and he also apologized for the egg shells, when he stopped over to make sure everything was ok.

Food and service are always impeccable. This is my go-to weekend brunch for family, friends, and out-of-town visitors.

Fantastic service, and the food was unbelievable. Can't wait to come back to celebrate another event.

We ordered : muhrammra, chile hummus, cheese on fire, dumplings, watermelon feta salad; Moroccan curry with saffron rice, lamb and chicken skewers. Everything was so delicious. Get it ALL!
