My favorite place to eat in Austin! Every dish I’ve had here is 10/10 and they always have awesome specials to keep things new. The staff is SO kind and accommodating. And the atmosphere at Latchkey (where they are located) is perfect. I always look forward to their Tamale pickup orders in December because they are some of the best Tamales I’ve had- order a bunch and save them in your freezer!

The BEST tacos in Austin. The tortillas are homemade and I dream of them. I would buy the Cadillac sauce in bulk if it were offered. My fav is the puerca roja because it’s so juicy, delicious and so full of flavor. The owners and staff here are top tier and you can tell they care about their product. I’ve been here more than I’d like to admit and it’s always a 5 star review.

The only thing negative I could ever say about The Smokin' Rose is the fact that I don't live in Austin and I don't get to enjoy it every day (if I could, I WOULD!!!) I went to visit Austin years ago and my Uber driver recommended I check it out, he said it is one of his favorite spots to eat. Now it's on my MUST visit whenever I'm in Austin. The food is INCREDIBLE and the people who work there are so wonderful. If they ever decide to expand to Denver, I'd be the first in line.
Smokin' Rose has the BEST loaded queso I've had in my life. Went several times when in Austin (often more than once a week) and am so sad we moved out of town and can't be regulars anymore. The tortillas are fluffy, meat is tender and delicious, plus the service is amazing - the owners are the nicest people. A MUST go when in town!
