An iconic Austin brand and experience. Stop by this favorite neighborhood haunt for a delicious custom made sandwich and friendly conversation with your very own dedicated sandwich artist. My favorite is the chicken salad on wheat with provolone cheese. Another great sandwich is the classic club sandwich. There is minimal parking available, however most people in the neighborhood walk here and there is a walk up window for those on the run - but no drive through.
I moved away from Texas to go to college in Minnesota 8 years ago. The two things I still think about weekly is how much I miss thundercloud and HEB. Eat here while you can because the good times never last 😢
Chris made me the best chicken salad I’ve ever had while we chatted the whole time. The bamboo garden while eating this masterpiece of a sandwich was the cherry on the Thundercloud sundae. Thanks y’all, first time at this iconic location.
