They use the same pair of gloves to prepare your sandwich, flip the payment screen, open containers, and refrigerators. In essence, these gloves are intended to protect their hands, not the food they are handling. How can this not be a health code concern?

They make a banger sandwich and always will. Been a customer for 10+ years and it has kept its consistency. Sure sometimes the staff seem a little annoyed when you just walk I but I would be too if I had to see me come in. They often lighten up and I’ve enjoyed great conversations with them.

Thundercloud is great. One of the few classic Austin places left.
Small location but the staff is super awesome at any given location. Solid food great Sammy's and good smoothies. One thing I only wished is that the soda fountain was properly cleaned. This particular location the fountain drinks always have a metallic taste and is just not drinkable. I've tried many times and there is just something so off with it. That's a small disadvantage other than that just a great experience. Just get your drink minus smoothies somewhere else. Also definitely try the Egg Salad Sammy with banana peppers damn good!

I really like this place. They are generous with the sandwiches, the workers are friendly and the ingredients are fresh. While I truly appreciate that they wear gloves while preparing the sandwiches, it would be better if they also wore hair and facial hair nets. I would feel a lot more comfortable and would probably eat there more often if that was the case.
