Titaya's Thai Cuisine in Austin is a popular spot with reasonable prices and is known for its delicious Thai food. The mango sticky rice remains a must-try, featuring perfectly ripe mango and sweet rice. While some may find the Thai iced tea skippable, the fried rice and pad se ew are excellent choices. The restaurant does not allow substitutions or split checks, so diners should be prepared for this. The food is flavorful and authentic, reminiscent of Thai cuisine experienced abroad. Service is fast, kind, and efficient, making it a great place for a first date night or a casual meal. There may be a delay in getting food, but dishes like Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, and pineapple fried rice are worth the wait.
Recently, customers have noted that the food quality remains high, with many enjoying the Pad Woon Sen, taro fritters, and papaya salad, which was fresh and spicy, featuring fat and sweet shrimp. The restaurant offers a variety of classic Thai specialties with vibrant flavors, including the highly recommended chicken skewers and Tom Yum soup. Customers have also mentioned that there are plenty of vegetarian options available. Though portions may be on the smaller side for the price, the food quality and taste make it a great choice for takeout or dining in. The atmosphere is relaxing and beautifully decorated, making it a suitable spot for family gatherings, visitors from out of town, or a tasty dinner date. Overall, Titaya's provides an authentic Thai dining experience with good value in Austin.
