The ingredients at this place seem to be high quality, but unfortunately the execution and service really missed the mark. When I visited for lunch, the food was served cold, about half of the sweet potatoes were burned, and the grains were undercooked and chewy.

It felt like very little effort was put into the actual cooking or presentation of the meal. With good ingredients, this place has potential, but the kitchen and service need to pay much more attention to quality and consistency.

We came at an off hour (2:00) and there was almost no one in the restaurant with about 5 waiters standing around talking. We saw them see us; however no one attended to our table. After close to 10 minutes, we got up and left. With the hostess thanking us and told us to have a good day. If you want attentive and prompt service, I’d go to the gazillion other options in downtown Austin.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. They absolutely CANNOT pack a correct order. Not worth waiting for food that’s cold and incomplete. Go to the million other amazing restaurants in Austin. Total disappointment.

Total crap. There grill was down and half the menu was unavailable. They could have told us ahead of time but didn’t. All other places booked. Ridiculous

The live music on the weekends is a great touch. When the weather is great, the patio is awesome for people watching too. Parking is also validated too.

I was there on Valentine’s Day and the bar took really long with our drinks. I think they were short staffed. Everything tasted great though!

We are guests in Austin and stopped at one of our favorite spots, True Food Kitchen. We ordered Lasagna and a Chicken Parmesan. We had a slight mishap on the Lasagna and the waiter was kind enough to bring it to the managers attention. Ms. Vanessa, immediately approached our table and she rectified the problem. Thank you to Ms. Vanessa our meal turned out terrific. She is a true example of quality management and expert service. We also rewarded the waiter handsomely for his service. We will be back.

Made a 7:15 reservation for Valentine’s Day. Apparently they screwed up and didn’t limit reservations, so they were extremely overbooked. We were seated at 8:15, and after that, the service was beyond awful. We were checked on maybe once the whole night. Never got our waters refilled, got my order wrong multiple times, zero flexibility for vegans on the valentines menu, and we had to harass the kitchen to bring half the items out. My friend ordered an espresso martini at the beginning of the night and didn’t get it until we were about to pay two hours later. So disappointed :(

Made a 7:45 reservation for dinner. Didn’t get seated until 8:40 and by 9:15 we had not even been greeted by a server, bailed. 0/5 would not recommend

have been here before and really liked it. made a 6:30 reservation on V Day, waited in a line for almost half an hour to be seated and ended up bailing altogether when we overheard a server tell a table behind us that the kitchen was backed up and the wait for food would be another 45min. :(

Ordered take out. System said 40 minutes so that’s when I showed up. Food had been done way sooner and was completely cold by the time I picked it up. Garbage.

I’m visiting Austin and came here for the first time. We waited over 1.5 hours for our food. During that time, we asked multiple servers for updates and felt repeatedly ignored until I finally asked to speak with a manager.

What made the experience worse was seeing tables seated after us receive their food before we did.

Terrible service and a highly disappointing first experience.
