Such a FUN experience at Upstairs Circus - the staff are so friendly and kind and helpful! A friend and I traveled in from out of town and visited UC for a Mimosas and Crafting event, and after having several drinks including their specialty margarita and sangria (sooo delicious -- and the bartender does not skimp on the alcohol!) and completing our awesome projects (custom luggage tags and a string art piece), we couldn't stop talking about what a fabulous time we had. In fact, we are already making plans to come back in a few months for our next trip! Located a few blocks from 6th street, Upstairs Circus is the perfect activity to add to any celebration (birthday, bachelorette weekend, anniversary).

This place is Amazing! Lots of fun options to choose from. Everyone is nice and willing to give you extra products to finish your project at home if you don't complete it within the allotted time! On the leather products you get to dye it whatever color you want! All the creative freedom to make a purely āyouā keepsake. I will 100% be driving into Austin again for this place! I plan to let everyone know to swing by here too!

I give 5/5 for aesthetics and drinks. Other than that, Upstairs Circus leaves much to be desired. Came during Happy Hour with a friend - discounted drinks and certain projects on sale. While we both had fun, there was a definite lack of project clarity especially for beginners. As other reviews mentioned, some comments made by the employees can come off condescending or rude when it comes to direction for projects. If you're looking for a more hands-on craft experience in Austin, I'd go elsewhere. If you're well-versed in crafting, maybe this experience is better suited for you.

It was my first time going to this place, my friend and I were so excited because this place looked so fun and creative and we love art! Unfortunately when it came to getting ready to get our supplies and instructions, the employees that were working there were very short and had condescending remarks when we asked for help. One of the employees even made a rude comment of how we were doing the craft bc apparently it was wrong. When I asked where I could find an art supply the lady with the green jacket gave me the most annoyed look and directed me like if I was an idiot for not knowing where it was. After that the atmosphere felt unwelcoming and I could not enjoy crafting, my friend and I even debated if we should have just done our on art day. Maybe they were tired repeating the same thing all day or perhaps just tired at the end of the shift ( Iāve been there, I understand ) regardless you shouldnāt be rude or project your emotions to guests that are paying for a fun experience. Because it seriously doesnāt make people want to come back. I definitely do not after this.

I came to this place on a date with my best friend, expecting it to be more welcoming only to be given attitude and sass at every question. Faces made when I was clearly trying to understand how to do a simple silhouette project for the FIRST TIME.Having staff tell me āItās not going to come out like the picture.ā was extremely rude. When the goal was to have fun not be an artist. Will strongly consider another option for girls night..

We had a great time. It was very expensive, but it was worth it for the family to go together. We are upset, however, that they didnāt prepare our results properly and we put them in a bag that they suggested and everything was ruined by the time we got back to the house. They need to explain more about the sealer too.

I canāt believe itās been almost five years since I moved to Austin, and I never knew about this amazing place! Iām thrilled to have found a spot where you can choose from various projects and spend three hours chatting and enjoying drinks with others. The staff was incredibly nice, which made the experience even better. It was such a fun and memorable time with my husbandāIām so happy we created some unforgettable memories together. Iāll definitely be recommending this place to my friends!

This was such a an amazing experience!! My spouse and I were visiting out of state and this is a MUST! Super fun, bottomless mimosas and got to leave with a really cool project you made following a step by step sheet. What more can you ask for? Would recommend this to anyone and everyone <3

This place was amazing! The vibe was great, the range of projects was ample, the staff were helpful and friendly, and the supplies were abundant. All you need is your creativity! We spent more on our project because we painted a pair of Nikeās, so we had to purchase the sneakers first. Our only complaint was we didnāt have enough time to fully complete our project, so give yourself plenty of time and arrive on an earlier note. The three hours we had wasnāt enough, granted we had one of the larger projects. Great activity for any size party.

They also have a happy hour project menu as well depending on the time of day you choose to go. The staff was unbelievably nice and very helpful, oh and the drinks are spectacular!
