Whip In has been a locally owned, Austin staple since the 1980s. This week I visited for dinner for the first time in many years and can confirm that this place is still an excellent option for high quality Indian food. My chicken tikka masala was perfect, no weird bits in the chicken and the chili paneer was super crispy and flavorful. This is the best garlic naan bread I’ve ever had. Great meal, great price

Don’t let the exterior fool you, this is some of the best Indian food I’ve had and honestly such a chill love to hang. Service was great and drafts were fantastic!

I was there with my friends. The food was really good. It was superrr busy sunday. I am surprised the girl in the counter managed to handle each and every customer alone. Her name was Nam. She was serving the beer, taking orders and also helping to food run. Overall the service was 5/5 and they also have bunch of beer collection.

They are famous for an incredibly diverse selection of beer. They also have amazing Indian food. Sometimes, there is music. The community is as authentic as you will find in Austin. There is some major state highway construction going on next door; so you might have to park in the parking lot behind the venue, or on the neighborhood streets. But it's totally worth the trip!

Bruh, whats up with the new menu?! Used to be top tier indian food, especially chole masala and paneer wrap. Just feels like a try hard all cuisine place, definitely not Indian restaurant anymore.
Chicken fried rice is excellent

Great food, weird south Austin vibes, chill outside patio, eclectic soundtrack. Everyone who worked there was cool, polite and helpful too.

Honestly one of my favorite places in Austin. Immaculate Austin vibes, always amazing service, and best chicken vindaloo I’ve ever had in my life, no cap.

We love to come here for trivia on Tuesdays at 8! Good beer selection and the staff is great.
EDIT: The korma is amazing, and Medium is the perfect level of spice. The pakoras are the shoe string style that's not my favorite, but still good.
