Can't believe it's been 3 years already! Celebrating my birthday at @whipIN has become a tradition. Every year, they manage to surprise me with incredible food, a fantastic atmosphere, and impeccable service. We always have a blast with 30-50 guests, and @whipIN always delivers. Thank you for making my birthdays so special! ? #birthday #whipIN #foodie

Austin has lost another one of our great hot spots. As long as I can remember the Whip Inn was known for having one of the best beer selections in Austin. I was in Austin and stopped in tonight to relive some memories. When I asked about available beer options, I was informed by the bartender that the only Belgian ale they had was Blue Moon. Big disappointment at what was one of my favorite spots when I lived in town.

This place is a true gem. On top of having an awesome selection of cold drinks as a convenience store they also have a bar restaurant attached that makes the most phenomenal Korma I've ever had. Get it with garlic Naan and thank me later.

Meat to sauce ratio so embarrassing its cheaper to buy some meat and simmer it in the sauce. All for $19 a curry. Shameful.

Love this place! The chicken nachos were amazing. You wouldn't think that would work but they do. Samosas were hot and mildly spicy. Delicious! Taking food to go for sure!

Paid $14 for a humus platter which isn’t terrible. The humus bowl was a good size, but they gave me 2 carrot sticks and 2 celery sticks (with some pita and chips.) The chips were so stale that I only ate one. The Dosa was good, but had MAYBE 1/2 cup of potatoes. The masala was good. The naan was good. This is NOT the same Whip In as is used to be. I can take change, but very disappointed in the declining quality. Also, really hot inside. And the guy that took my order seemed inconvenienced by me being there.

I love places like this… restaurant/ bar/ market. Not to mention - indian food?! Rather than the typical bar food is a big win in my book.

My wife and I love this place. Their draft beer selection is like no other. Their food is delicious and everyone with whatever dietary issue they may have can eat here. There is something for everyone. The atmosphere is fun and kitschy. Parking it a little wonky but it's not their fault. Any time I go I have to have a look at their market and 95% of the time I buy something.

Casual place to get a drink or two. Overall, we had a good time but they left about $12 worth of food out of our to-go order and we didn’t realize until we got all the way home because they stapled the bag. Very disappointing.

The tastes of the food was amazing. It was delicious and I loved it. It has a nice area and parking in back too. You can sit inside or outside. It also has nice music playing in background also. 100% recommended.

I've been here several times over the last few years! Their food is great, the place very much feels like Austin if that makes sense. They have a large selection of craft and local beer, absolutely delicious Indian food, a charming outdoor area to sit, and really nice staff. The only drawbacks are the pricing (a teensy bit high for what you get), and the place might look a little sketchy from the outside, but it's a really cozy and stylized inside and in the outdoor seating area.

Average place. Average food, average atmosphere, average service. You can do much better if you want good Indian food in Austin.

It’s been some time since I’ve dined in. Decent all around. Portions on the smallish side. Tried their kombucha on tap and the chana masala with a side of garlic naan.
