Best ice cream sandwich I ever had in my life. Germanium ice cream with strawberry shortcake cookie. Something serious!

Cookies were good but not worth the hype. I spent $15 (with tip) on 2 cookies and a 1/4 inch thin brownie. Price to pay for premium location I suppose. Although I’m not entirely convinced, I will go back to try different items.

Disclaimer: We visited at the end of the night during the last weekend of SXSW, and not much was left. The ice cream cookie sandwich was exactly what you think when you order it. I would suggest getting the two original chocolate chip cookies with the burnt vanilla ice cream if you're one to try out the original flavors first. Like getting a slice of cheese pizza, before trying any special slices. I do, however, think this place is hyped (influencers online certainly making an impact). I absolutely respect the talent and creativity. Flavors are good and I do look forward to trying some more creative flavors in the future. Looking for a good (warm) cookie? Check out Mission Burgers. Looking for ice cream and cookies? Check out a cold Cookie Company. Looking for a date night idea? Go to NADC to share a burger followed by some ice cream here at Wolf & Wheat, and then walk around the E 6th area. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable! Often, on Saturday evenings, if a lot of product is left they will offer at a discount.

I wish Wolf and Wheat were open more days!!!You NEED to get the buckwheat brownie. I have never had a brownie that good in my entire life. Buckwheat gives it such a pleasant texture. It’s rich; I would be satisfied with half a brownie. The butter brioche cookie was another winner. Hard not to just eat it in two bites. They also have a third cookie that rotates. It was a strawberry chocolate when we stopped by. There’s also ice cream and an option for an ice cream sandwich.Small but mighty menu!

Hands down the best sourdough in Austin!!! I love that they have few products in the menu but it’s all served with excellence. Service is 10/10.

Sourdough is legit. Super soft inside with semi hard crust. I can eat it for days. I also tried the ice cream sandwich with the sugar cookies. Sugar cookies stole the show. The workers here are super cool as well. I’ll be picking up more sourdough when I am in town.

Tried a few cookies. They were dry, flat, and brittle. The brioche cookie had no brioche flavor at all, unless you count the butter. Not sure why the high reviews. Better off getting cookies at the Bearded Baking Company, Moonlight, or Thoroughbread.

Loved the almond buckwheat brownie! Need to come back and try more items like their ice cream and they had a case of different desserts like tiramisu. The staff was very friendly and helped me pick out items to try.

Really, really have enjoyed this place. Returned within 24 hours of the first time I went. Tried the brown butter brioche cookies, fig leaf smore, and strawberry orange blossom cake - all were 10s!

Wolf and Wheat is a new bake shop that opened on the east side next to NADC. After having a burger there I actually popped over by the recommendation of the staff at NADC and I am glad I did. I went late in the evening so they didn't have much left but I ended up getting a fig leave infused smore which left me wanting to come back everyday to try something new on the menu. They were very friendly and patient as well, explaining things on the menu - like their bone marrow ice cream(I need to try it!) and they have more than just desserts, selling things like sourdough bread and butter. Needless to say I was very impressed and will be returning to try everything if that's possible!

From the outside I couldn't tell if it was opened or not since it looked like they were still renovating the store, but the times and hours open indicated they were open. I got a couple different cookies as well as the bone marrow sandwich. The bone marrow ice cream didn't taste like bone marrow - it tasted like a salted caramel ice cream. The chocolate chip cookie was good but the brown butter cookie was a bit too sweet for me. I still think Baked Bear has the best ice cream sandwiches with delicious, thick cookies that are warmed up nicely.
