I recently had dinner at this restaurant not long ago with a buddy of mine and had a very tasty lunch, accompanied by a wonderful atmosphere, and an even better experience thanks to the server. Emilia was delightful, helpful, and overall outstanding !

Great for a relaxing evening with your partner :-) The martinis will blow your mind and the service is good as well!

Maybe the best eggs Benedict in town for $12. Excellent egg quality, soft boiled to perfection, savory truffle Benedict sauce on tope of pollenta with small mushrooms. Oh and they toasted my bread perfectly and the real butter they give you is already melting. So "un sans faute" as we would say in France. I'll be back! Oh try the east cider blood orange cider. Very good!

Just googled places to go and Zax popped up so gave it a try. Food was fantastic. Drinks were perfect. And the chocolate cheesecake was to die for. Very impressed.

Great place, just across the river from down town. Make the effort to walk across the bridge to visit. Everything we ordered was great as was the service!

The drink was good, and strong and the employees were super nice. The mussels were chewy and strongly smells of shellfish. The broth was good, and the flavor of that was nice but the mussel itself didn't taste as fresh as I'd have liked. I think they overheard me complaining on the phone about the mussels because she asked if they were okay. I am sure there was nothing wrong with them, it's just the difference between texas shellfish and PNW shellfish.

Service is good. Blues burger a little heavy handed on mustard but cooked rare as ordered. Would return.

I first came here back in 2011 and really enjoyed my visit so it became one of my spots. I wish they had a little larger of a selection but the food is good and the location is pretty convenient. I've never had to wait a long time and I like their hibiscus mint tea. Definitely recommend steamed mussels, crab cakes, olive and cheese platter, the Caesar salad with shrimp, or the steak salad.

We have been here multiple times over several years and it has been Fantastic every time. They have a great Bloody Mary bar on weekends too. The shrimp and grits and the crab cake Benedict are favorites.

The food was tasty here. It takes a LOT for me to give 5 stars and I probably would have except 2 items: 1) some is overpriced. I had the scallops and they were amazing, but $30 for 3 scallops? I would have expected more like 5 for that price. 2) It was a quiet evening and at times I went a long while without anyone checking on me. If I could do 4.5 stars I would have.

During my San Antonio and Austin trip back in July, when I was staying at a nearby hotel, I decided to eat here as it seemed like a nice little restaurant. Upon entering we were seated by the very nice hostess and our waiter was very prompt and professional. I had a cheeseburger and it was really good, my mother liked her salad too. I had the Creme brulee too and it was hands down the best creme brulee I have had. If you are in Austin, and are looking for a good, affordable place to eat, I recommend this place.

Myself and four of my friends Were referred to this restaurant after the bat cruise. We arrive there approximately 8:24 in the evening. The hostess seemed annoyed that we were there. She warned us that we close at 9. We did sit down for a minute then decided we felt unwelcomed and left.

The place is a little beat up but seems to be a local favorite. For some reason there was tape holding the door lock open. Where it counts the beer was cold and there was a good selection of draft beers. I ordered the mussels as an appetizer along with the empanadas. The muscles came out with a basket of bread. I was not sure if the bread was supposed to be super crispy and crunchy and dry as toast points or was just stale. Thankfully the bread worked out well because I could soak it in the juice of the mussels. The empanadas were nice along with the green dipping sauce on the plate. I wanted more.
