We arrived here, hungry after checking out the lake. Everyone was so inviting and friendly, better than we had been treated anywhere else in Balmorhea. I had the pulled pork sandwich and my wife had the chicken sandwich and they were phenomenal. I shared half my sandwich with my wife and she shared half of hers and they were both absolutely delicious. My father in law had a menudo that he said was comparable to his own mother’s cooking. Everyone treated us as if we were a part of their family and allowed my infant to run around and check out the surroundings. I loved it here and will return for sure. It’s a place where family is first.
They are good about letting you try a sample of something new…all of their foods good!! And their lemonades are very good!!!!

This small food truck on the outside of balmorhea serves great tacos. The owner seemed very committed to the quality of her food, and clearly was well connected with the neighbourhood. She gave us a very helpful introduction to the village and its surroundings. Thanks a lot!
