The clerk ignored taking an order and gave his back to me. All other orders were taken and waiting fullfilment. Racism in these folks is a real thing and it is unfortunate to refuse serving a customer based on skin color. I quietly walked out and went to a better place cracker barrel in Kerville with better chicken too!

This is one of the better locations. Being along the way to our Hill Country place, we stop here often. Some days the dining room is spotless, other times the employees seem to slack on cleaning up tables after a customer leaves. That being said, the chicken is always on point as are the sides.

This location is really hit or miss. The first time we ordered was a family meal ( what we always order) , it made us all sick for days. The second time, it was delicious and done correctly in every way. Third time, ( today ) the mashed potatoes were missing as well as an additional order of the honey Biscuits. The okra was fried to an inedible crisp, and the chicken itself was stale. I tried calling several times to the restaurant but never any answer. You may be wondering why i continue to order from here when I know this can be easily messed up but I LOVE fried chicken so much and pretty sure this is the only place in town that serves it. Doesn't help that the cook himself looks like a meth head with all kinds of ugly sores on his face. There was even a random guy sitting outside the restaurant sitting on his gaming laptop ( no food or drink ) just using the free wifi to play his game. I'd really like a partial refund for the missing items, if not a full refund for the disgusting food we received.

Ordered the family tender meal through the drive thru for dinner. Received old hard and rubbery tenders. 3 small individual mashed potato and Mac n cheese. Fries were the only decent thing we received. Did not even get the biscuits that came with it. Disappointed and nearly $40 down the drain. They need to shut this place down.
Overcharged me, chicken was old and hard. Do was the okra. Also charged me for the brown gravy instead of the white THAT COMES WITH THE FOOD. I will never go back.

Then some female came in and just started cussing saying she used to work here and asked the guy behind the counter(Chico) if they would rehire her. But then the employee joined in cussing, every other word was fu••••, sad that we had to hear this while we were eating.

The chicken is pretty good when you want something fast. However, the people at this location are particularly slow. They are friendly enough, but getting to asking your order and then getting your order out quickly is not their concern.
