This is probably our favorite place to eat in Bandera. The whole business part of this restaurant is phenomenal just like the food. They waitstaff share tips. They hire some high schoolers that need work. Everything is made from scratch and they use fresh chicken and duck eggs. Whenever we have friends come into town, we make sure we go to the Hen's Nest and it NEVER disappoints. Five stars in all categories. You will not be disappointed!
Great food, friendly service. Highly recommend this place. Only downside is they don't serve any alcohol here, but If your hungry they serve decently sized plates of food. Two could share a plate. Thanks y'all!!

We always make it a point to bring our out-of-town guests here, and it never disappoints. The Hen’s Nest has that rare combination of genuinely friendly service, consistently great food, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that really shows off the best of Bandera. Yesterday I called in a lunch order for our office and things were quite chaotic (on my end, not theirs). The young man on the phone was accommodating and answered every question - some of them twice. The homemade yogurt and chocolate fudge are a nice little touch.
Five stars isn't enough. If you love a good egg, this is the place. If you can't find something on the menu that suits you, I have questions, but...ask for what you want. If she can do it, and she probably can, she likely will. Everything is well sourced and fresh. The Hen's Nest is a Texas Hill Country gemstone.
My family loves the Hen’s Nest! The food is made with love and tastes amazing! Not to fail to mention that the menu options aren’t your standard fare. If you enjoy food and like trying new dishes this is the place for you whether you go for the traditional Gary’s Special or a yummy dish involving Grits or Chaffles, you will be glad you opted to eat at the Hen’s Nest! The staff, chef and owner are super friendly and make you feel like family! I appreciate how wonderful the service and hospitality is with every visit and I always look forward to shopping at the boutique. This is a Bandera destination spot for sure!

EVERY TIME I have eaten at The Hen’s Nest, the food has always been delicious. The restaurant is always clean. The owner and her staff are amazing. Shelly comes out of the kitchen to greet the customers and her servers take great care of me and my friends when we go eat. 10 out of 10 recommend.
