Texas 2 Cali Food Truck in Bandera offers fresh, authentic Mexican food that stands out from basic Tex-Mex. The Callie burrito is good and recommended. The bandera cheesteak is flavorful all the way down to the last bite and beats out any other cheesteak in town. The cactus taco with asada and habanero sauce is scorching, and the street tacos are perhaps the best ever had, all for only five bucks. The Pipe Creek Tacos are also a hit. The watermelon agua fresca and fresca are authentic, with none of that fake syrup stuff. The owners are incredibly kind, welcoming, friendly, down-to-earth, and professional, and the staff are just as friendly. The food is made with fresh ingredients and so much care, and the difference can truly be tasted. This is a new favorite food truck, and the food is absolutely great and reasonably priced. There is excitement to try the rest of the food offered. This place is across the highway from home for some, though hours are not entirely clear, as sometimes a sign on the door says closed for the day. It is worth coming back to again and again.
