This was the real deal. Gumbo roux a bit thin but lots of flavor. Cracklings hot off the fryer.

Dined at the picnic table. Wonderful dishes. Can ask for spicy seasonings to be added, or use hot sauces on table.... Prepared for non spicy eaters. Will be back for more. Excellent!
I saw this place had cracklins that looked like the ones I ate in Louisiana, so I went by and picked up some to try them. Delicious! A couple had skin that was a little hard to eat, but I didn't mind, because they tasted like they were supposed to!I went back that afternoon and got Shrimp Creole (best my friends & I'd ever had) and Crayfish Ettouffe (delicious) with Smothered Cabbage (yummy) and Green Beans - plus Rice. Oh ... and more cracklins. We were all very pleased with our Cajun feast! Got some boudin, also, for my friend, but we didn't have it for dinner.Wish I lived close by - I'd eat Le Jeune food regularly!!Try it!!

The service was good, very friendly people. I bought the shrimp gumbo and unfortunately not only did it look unappealing, it tasted horrible. The broth was very watery, over salted and tasted like soy sauce. The rice was well cooked but shrimp seemed old and had an odd taste to it. Overrall the gumbo was not very good.

Superb! I ordered the cracklins and crawfish etouffee and both were great! I've never had etouffee and didn't know what to expect. It had a bit of a kick and was perfectly seasoned. I didn't feel the need to add anything to it. The cracklins were cooked to perfection as well...crispy skin, tender meat, and juicy fat. The owner is very friendly and is great at what he does! I cannot wait to try more of the menu!

owner was super nice. all that he had left was shrimp gumbo and jambalaya. I knew we wanted gumbo so we got that, and he included some jambalaya for us to try. we enjoyed both. I'm used to gumbo with other stuff (okra or other vegetables) in it which is what my boys don't like. so they were thrilled when they saw the gumbo with just shrimp and broth and the jambalaya was just pork and sausage and gravy. hope to go back and try the etouffe.
