Bastrop is about halfway between where my family and I live, and we decided to meet for brunch today at Maxine’s. What a great choice that was! Everything we ordered was delicious, the place was cute, and the servers were attentive. We had the Texas scramble, chicken & waffles, chicken fried steak, eggs benedict, and breakfast tacos, and everyone was super happy with their food. I see us making the trip to Maxine’s again!
Sadly I don't have a pic of one of the best burgers I've ever eaten (w/ blue cheese & grilled onions) cooked to perfection. My daughters Reuben was also the bomb. As were the cheesecakes. Thank you Maxine's crew!!! Did get a pic of the half eaten choc covered strawberry cheesecake...mmm.
