This will be somewhat long so stay with me.
I first made my reservation a week before the intended date. I called the day of my reservation 2/16/25 to confirm and was told I couldn't be found on the reservation list. I reaffirmed I called a week ago to make the reservation and they said they could work my party of two in when I come in at 6.
We get there around 550 and the place is pretty empty, we are sat at one of the tables next to the bar at the front of the building where another couple is sitting and being served. It took about 15-20 minutes before the bartender approached asking if we had been served. We told her no and she mentioned something about the other waitress (serving the couple next to us) missed us. This is even after the same waitress walked by a couple of times.
The other couples were tended to by the other staff and the bartender ended up making drinks and serving us. I don't want to take away from her (the bartender) because she was very attentive after she saw we hadn't been served. But we couldn't help but feel we were ignored and treated differently.
This isn't our first time here, but this time it was more obvious based on their actions.
The food was good as it had been previously. the mood was set for Valentine's day, but the horrible service and the atmosphere it created made everything feel less than.

Love Piney Creek. Our favorite place to dine in Bastrop. Food is great, nice wine list, and staff is very friendly.

We booked this place for a Tuesday night at 7:15 for 5 people 2 days prior online. Walked up to check in and they said “oh, online doesn’t work. Sorry” We also had an email from Ruth who said it was confirmed. Nothing was done to seat us or make up for the issue. I would not recommend this place for anyone trying to make reservations for more than 2 people. Super unprofessional.

Perfect place for a quiet, high-quality dining experience. Lighting is too subdued but everything else was superb. The grill station chef was perfect not only achieving desired doneness but plating and presentation was just right. Service is attentive and polite.

Best crab Mac and cheese I’ve ever had. Would come again.
We held our friends 65th birthday party here and they were so accommodating!! They put us at a big square table in quiet area so we could all see and visit each other. The space was nice! There were about 10 of us and the service was excellent and the he food was phenomenal!!! We brought a homemade cake and our own ice cream of which they were happy to promptly store cold for us! (And was so nice about it!) They put the candles on brought it in (it was a surprise and special recipe) and they helped to serve it providing all the necessary utensils etc.. They were fabulous. Love, this place can't say enough good things about them.

Nice, quiet, fancy dinner for my husband's birthday. Everything we tried was amazing.
Our second time being here and the food was great once again. And they handled everything well for the amount of people we had. The waiter had a great sense of humor.
This place is great for small town restaurant. The lamb is excellent, and the sides were cooked just right. The Shrimp Scampi is excellent. Lighting is a little too low, but service is great. Go have a nice meal.

Came here based off of a bastrop community Facebook group recommendation. They did not disappoint. 10/10 service, 20/10 food. Had the 16 oz ribeye - roasted Brussels sprouts, Mac and cheese, and stuffed mushrooms. I’m not even a fan of mushrooms but they did something special to them. AMAZING. Will be back!
