We were looking for a place to eat after a show at the Bastrop Opera House, this place was just a couple blocks away and open for dinner late. Food was good and service was great! Perfect choice after theater.
I had the chicken fingers and gravy along with sweet potato fries. Chicken was tender and fries were good. The batter and the gravy were really bland though and the outside of the batter was burnt, so in addition to being bland, it had a burnt taste. First time I had been there. Will try something different next time I go. My friend had the chicken fried steak and she was not impressed either. We went for lunch and the prices are reasonable. There is nothing wrong with this place, per se...it's just kinda, meh.
