“I’ve been there many times over many years. This review isn’t based on one visit. They are friendly and consistent. The prices are fair and the quality of food is to par. They hire hard working locals that have their livelihood invested in the community. Just keep in mind that when your bill is low because of the menu prices, tipping more than the minimum keeps the employees a little less stressed in their personal lives as well as happy at work able to serve you better. Everything I’ve tried on the menu is good“

“The place is such a cool country town kind of place. Absolutely loved the staff, they were slam packed and they still had time to check on us. The food was pretty good, eggs cooked wonderfully which is why I hate to say anything negatively but if I was pushed to say anything the biscuits need improvement. These were like dinner rolls in my opinion. Loved everything else! The service like I said was phenomenal and the place was clean, busy and lively. Didn't feel crowded even in a crowd.“

“Had a great meal last night. I had the hanger steak which was delicious. Others had the chicken fried steak and the salmon which all enjoyed.
Of particular note was how attentive and customer focused our server, Erin, was. She was engaging and personable and she was creative in ensuring our interests were taken care of. We asked for access to the wine list from the upstairs/sushi restaurant and she made it happen. When we wanted a 2nd bottle of the a Charles Krug 2019 Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, and someone gave here a 2023, she went back and found a 2nd one. And she did it all with a smile and great humor. When we moved to an area outside 30 yards from the back porch, she came out to see if we needed a nightcap.“

“We traveled to Austin over Memorial Day weekend and had an absolutely amazing dinner at Stories. From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional. Our waitress was fantastic—unfortunately, I forgot her name—but she provided warm, attentive service that made the evening even more memorable.

The steak was one of the best we’ve ever had. It was so tender that it practically melted in your mouth—no knife needed, like cutting through butter! Every dish we ordered was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious.

To top it all off, our waitress surprised us with a complimentary dessert shaped like a peach. It was not only stunning to look at but also delicious. Compliments to the pastry chef for such a beautiful and creative masterpiece.

“Talk about incredible service with a smile. Greeted each time you walk through the door. I was taken aback by the friendliness because you don't encounter that much anymore. Adam was so sweet. I would go back just to see him. They also make a GREAT Starbucks Pumpkin Spiced Latte. It literally saved my mornings.“

“I was there for a conference and the folks there at the bar were awesome. Matt at the bar had great original twists on classic themes. He's a real mixologist. The other two folks at the bar were super cool too. I can't remember the blond lady's name, but she had an accent and had just moved from Chicago. Everyone was super nice.“
