“If you are visiting Bastrop, just know that this place is a must for great fried fish platters and burgers and the locals know it. It was packed! I got Paw Paws Platter with a substitute of Green Beans... don't miss these gems. The fish was tender and the shrimp were huge. My son got the Big Mouth Burger loaded with egg, bacon and cheese. He affirmed that it was the best burger he has ever had. The staff were excellent... nice, fast, and attentive.“
“The food was excellent! Personally, I would have preferred it a little hotter, but overall, the temperature was good. The biscuits are huge and delicious. However, could be fluffier. BEWARE of the griddle cakes they're MONSTROUS!!! very tasty!“
“Staff was very friendly, pretty popular at lunch time. Chicken Philly sandwich was really good. Onion rings were good but seemed like they had maybe set a bit before serving them up. Would try them again but fried foods need to be made to order. Always.Otherwise, great little lunch spot. I do like that they offer salads and more healthy options too. Definitely worth a stop.“
“I if you had not tried the Marty taco. You don't know what you missing.. This is a great place to eat. They food is good especially the baked potatoes that's all they use. It is no boiled it is cooked on pit. The have special on the jail house tacos on Tuesday morning before 10am if u can't make it order it ahead of time they will hold it for u.. “Better than other fast food burgers in the area. Reasonably priced. Very simple menu centered around burgers, fries and shakes. The drive-through moved quickly. They had whole wheat buns available, and a lettuce wrap option, which I would trust because the lettuce on our burgers was very fresh and crisp. They also have jalapeños available as an add-on, which are diced (not sliced), but are free of charge. Is there anything to write home about? Maybe not. But I'm glad they're here. I don't get fast food often. But next time I need something quick on the road, I'm coming here.“
“Got the "roadhouse layer" as an appetizer. Yummy. My bleu cheese burger: Yummy (really done quite well...most places just burn them...this place: Yummy.). My wife liked her chicken.Great service. Wife remarked that refills came magically.Needs a beverage menu or even a section of their menu devoted to what they have.“
