Food is dependably great. Prices are in line with other restaurants in the area. The only ding is they usually are a waitress short during busy times. For example during my last visit, 1 waitress was serving the entire 2nd dining room during lunch.

Great service. Food was delicious and inexpensive.
The food is mediocre. Nothing to go out of your way for and the restaurant now sits beside a very busy hwy so the sound of traffic is constant. The service was good and it is close to the state park. Might be a good place to meet up friends for a few drinks and a quick bite. It's a nice place, but other than that, nothing really special about it except for whatever memories you make there.
Parking: The parking lot is gravel but there are quite a lot of places to park.

I wonder if anyone has ever relocated to another town due to a burger joint? That thought entered my mind earlier today while I was enjoying one of the best burgers I've had in years coupled with the reality that, eventually, I had to leave and return to San Marcos (we lost our wonderful burger joint back in 2019). What's one of the reasons the burger was so terrific? Glad you asked. Roadhouse doesn't cook the flavor out of it and deliver you a hockey puck on a bun. Their burgers come medium-well. They also offer 4 types of buns. I regret to inform that I didn't have 4 burgers but, for the one I did enjoy, I went with their Onion bun and it tasted like it had been baked that morning. I won't turn this into a 10 page review regaling y'all with all the things I love about Texas but, for the purpose of this review, will state how I love the cuisine influences from our various neighbors to the south. Specifically, an avocado burger. Not only does Roadhouse have that selection but a guacamole burger as well. Have I mentioned I loved this place!? How many of y'all have noticed that bacon, more and more, tastes like a livestock salt block? Not at Roadhouse. Spoiler alert...it tastes like bacon! Last but definitely not least, the young ladies who will deliver your fantastic burger, shall you decide to treat yourself, put the cruise control on 60mph and never hit the brakes. Felt like I lost weight just watching them running to and from the kitchen. So, don't be cheap and thank them for that great service!

Hubs and I agree that these were possibly the best burgers we've had...bacon cheeseburger and jalapeño cream cheese. Our waitress, whose name escapes me , was very informative and great. We loved this place and recommend it!
