Its always an amazing experience at Stem & Stone! We were hosted there for a private event and the coordination between the host and the service staff was awesome. The food was fantastic and perfectly complementary to the wine parings. Great people, great food, great service and a pretty darn good selection of draft beer too!

Fries were perfectly cooked, but unseasoned. The 1836 burger was burdened with dense, dry, flavorless pulled pork. I only ate about half of the burger, and I came hungry. None of the flavors in the menu description were detected in this meal. Nice decor and great service. I really wanted to love this place, but I won't be back. No excuse for serving a dry, bland burger. I can do better than that at home or even at Chili's.

We ordered a fried pickles, burger & fries and honey mustard chicken sandwich. All delicious, esp the chicken sandwich! House ranch is my fave & they do it right. Casual, Texas themed place with attentive staff. Highly recommended if you’re in or passing through the area, it’s right off the highway!

Great place. Burger is one of the best I have had in a while. Other sandwiches were great and the salad was very fresh. Service was great and the prices were fair.

Great restaurant! We came here for Mother’s Day and we had a great experience overall. The restaurant is super cute, the staff is friendly and every dish we ordered was excellent. I think we have a new favorite restaurant in Bastrop.

We’ve eaten here many times when we travel through. Delicious food at reasonable prices. Great Brunch spot! Their French toast is so yummy as well as their Basic B brunch.

Came in for a bite to eat before going to the comedy show at film ally across the street. Stem and Stone has a good selection of beer and cocktails. I had one of the brews which came out nice and cold. We started off with the cheese curds which were crispy and delicious. For my meal I had the Philly cheese steak that was also really enjoyable. My wife got the chicken pesto sandwich and she loved it. Will come back to enjoy another meal here.

Weird place. Chicken tortilla soup had no chicken. Just broth with tortilla strips on top. When I asked about it the server just said it was the end of the batch and don’t offer any alternatives. Greek salad had so much dried Italian seasoning on it it was crazy. My husbands burger was pretty good. Atmosphere was super strange with a weird drunk lady going around to all the tables with a glass of wine in her hand at noon. Strange experience over all.

Where the service was great and the place was nice, the food was really not good. We were here on a conference and walked in at 7pm to an entirely empty restaurant. Based off the reviews we thought this was a busy popular place, that was not the case. We had a party of 8 and honestly none of us enjoyed much of the food. We had a wonderful server, the drinks were fine, the food was bland and had an off taste to almost everything.
