Church's Chicken Reviews
So gross. At almost 8:00pm & right on the interstate, you need to have fresh food. The chicken was sub par, the corn was so old that it literally gummed to your teeth & the mac & cheese not only had burnt (???) brown chunks in it, when I started picking them out, I actually found a chunk of plastic wrap floating in there. At the end of a 10 day road trip & was so hungry, but left this place totally grossed out.

Church's Texas Chicken offers a variety of chicken options with different experiences for customers. Many have praised the restaurant for its tasty, double-breaded chicken, especially the crispy breading and crunch. The fried okra has been highlighted as the best among fast food restaurants. Sides such as mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and honey butter biscuits have also received positive comments. The restaurant is a clean store with friendly employees and good customer service. Customers appreciate that the food is made fresh, although it sometimes takes a little longer to get their order. There have been occasional issues, like receiving a different item, such as corn on the cob instead of baked mac and cheese. Some customers noted that the mashed potatoes can have a gelatin texture and that the chicken could use more flavor. There are times when the restaurant runs out of items like tea. Despite this, the staff often goes out of their way to help, and service is generally prompt. Vegetarian options are limited but include fried okra breading, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn on the cob, and jalapeños. Prices can be a bit steep, with a meal like cole slaw, 5 tenders, and a drink costing around $14.
