China Star Buffet offers a wide variety of foods, including the popular salt & pepper shrimp. Located on Dowlen, it recently reopened its Tepenyaki / Hibachi Grill, where customers can choose their ingredients and watch their plate being cooked with their preferred sauces. The buffet and sushi bar remain unchanged. The restaurant is known for its good food and great selection, making it a popular choice for family buffet nights. Many customers find the atmosphere and music pleasant, creating a nice ambiance. The waiters are generally attentive and friendly, with plenty of parking available nearby. The food quality has been good overall, and kids enjoy the variety of options. However, some recent reviews mention that the chicken, especially jalapeno chicken, has become very hard lately, possibly due to a change in the kitchen staff. Despite occasional issues, China Star Buffet remains a convenient spot for Chinese cuisine with occasional highlights in its offerings.
