Ordered for pick up at 11:45. Order wasn't ready until 12:15. Didn't have time to eat before having to return to training and my order was wrong.

Located in a building with many offices, the Current provides lunch from 11 AM to 2 PM for workers in the office and anyone wanting to enjoy some lunch. Current has different menus from salads to sandwiches to poke bowls and teriyaki bowls. I have gotten their chicken sandwich, bang bang shrimp, salad, devilled eggs, and My favorites are their chicken sandwich and the bang bang shrimp. They both come with their special sauce, which is delicious! The chicken sandwich comes with a side of fries. I like the bun they use for the chicken sandwich, which is slightly sweet, and the crispiness of the chicken. Their bang bang shrimp is also crispy and comes on a bed of lettuce and shredded purple cabbage. Their fish was greatly portioned. It comes on top of rice and squash. They also placed some shrimp on top. Overall, I do like they have a variety of different options and their proportions. I think it is a great place of you are trying to satisfy different cravings within a group.

CURRENT is located on the first floor of the Edison Building in downtown Beaumont. Mainly serving the workers in the building, it is a hole in the wall restaurant open to the public. As such, they are only open during lunch times on weekdays. Advertising/marketing could be done better to attract outside customers.Fried Okra - Generally not a fan of okra, but thought I would give it a try. 2/5, but that is my personal preference on okra.Deviled Eggs - I love eggs in all shapes and forms. Bacon was a tad bit overcooked, but very light appetizer. 5/5, nonetheless, it was delicious.Blackened Catfish Pontchartrain - I generally am an avid fan of fish dishes (with the exception of fried fish), so I was looking forward to this entree the most. However, with high expectations, it disappointed me the most. The fish itself and sauce was very bland. There was a lot to be desired, and CURRENT usually exceeds my expectations. 2/5Crispy Chicken Sandwhich - My go-to meal. A classic chicken sandwich marinated with pickle juice. They nail it every. single. time. The quality of ingredients and everything about it, from the fries to buns to sauce is perfect. 5/5Teriyaki Stir Fry (with chicken) - The meat/vegetables were perfectly done, not too salty or bland. However, the rice was on the bland side. (That must be what the side of sauce is for.) There was wayyyyy too much sauce sitting at the bottom of the dish, which is unfavorable by me. Other than the rice and excess sauce, it was a quality meal. 3.5/5

Just spent half my lunch hour de-veining my own $12 shrimp bowl. The food is usually good here, but this was not worth $12 because of the tiny portion and the pack of prep work.

I ordered a BLT today and there was a 1/2 slice of crispy bacon crumbled into four slivers. The BLT was huge but did not have hardly any bacon, the chef could have told the server if they did not have enough bacon so I could have cancelled my order. To pay $11 for a BLT and regular fries and end up with really no bacon on a huge sandwich was disappointing. I will not be going back. Also, the only fries available were sweet potato fries, and this was not stated when I ordered downstairs. They have the nicest servers but I cannot go eat for just the servers alone.

Have ate at Current in Beaumont three times in the last few months when in town. Food and service are impeccable. I have had their Hamburger, Cajun Meatloaf, and Catfish Ponchatrain. All were great. Highly recommend. Out of the way but worth it.

Ordered the Burger with waffle fries, it was very hot and tasty, although the best thing about the place was the customer service, literally the best service I've experienced in years. I was honestly genuinely surprised from the young lady who took my order, the, who I assume was the manager, checking up on me, to the other young lady receiving my plate once I was done.5/5 would recommend. A little pricey for a broke college student like me but definitely a once or twice a month lunch break spot for me.
