This is my first time eating at Hamburger Depot. The hamburger steak was one of the best I've ever had. The grilled onions were cooked just right, and I was able substitute grilled veggies for fries. And, with the included side salad, I was able to stick to my low carb diet. I will be back!!
I've always had good experiences at Hamburger Depot locations of Neches St and Cardinal Dr. Today I visited Dowlen Road location. For 2 kid meals, cheeseburger and TX toaster melt with fry and onion ring plus 2 sodas, it was $37. I understand the cost of beef is higher due to shortage, but I could have gotten the same thing at Whataburger for almost $10 cheaper! $2.50 per 16 oz soda is outrageous. Good burgers, chicken salads, wraps, hamburger steaks.. Small restaurant in a gas station. Gas station concept kinda makes ya wonder if it's gonna be good. All in all it's a good little lunch spot.
