Didn't end up in the emergency room this time. Nothing wrong with their food just a pre existing medical condition. I went back again after that so that should tell you their food is good.

Absolutely delish food! Drinks were strong as hell and atmosphere was fun for a friendly girlfriend catch-up.
Just be aware the prices are higher. For 2 people sharing one appetizer, one alcoholic drink each, one main dish each, and a generous tip, the total was above $90. Very yummy, just be aware!

Went tonight as a party of three. Ordered fajitas no guacamole, sour cream or pico only cheese. It arrived with sour cream and cheese. The cheese was melted and all in one clump and the juice from the charro beans had gotten on the cheese. Due to the way the cheese was, asked for some more cheese. The server said she would have to ask the kitchen. Came back with cheese. When we got our bill I was charged for the cheese. I was never informed about the charge. This was ridiculous since I wasn’t informed and bad business to charge extra, especially since I did not get guacamole etc and since the original cheese arrived a mess. Also the chicken fajitas were so gristly that you couldn’t cut some of the strips. I will never return. We have been here many times since they opened, but never again. The experience tonight shows that they do not care about customer satisfaction.

I went for the first time at lunch just to order three street tacos no rice and beans. The tacos had plenty of meat on each one as well as onions and cilantro and choice of grilled onions as well along with a tomatillo salsa. It was very good and at a reasonable price. I certainly will go back again. They also have a full service bar and I understand they serve great margaritas.

We visited recently and the food was NOT the same! Did you change cooks? I do NOT think we’ll be returning. It was one of the best places HEB Had for Mexican food.

The ONLY good authentic Mexican food in Bedford! Food is good. Good portions. Margaritas are good and strong, kind of pricey.

Food is excellent. Lots of choices. One of my favorite places to go. Recommend the queso and shrimp tacos are superb.

We go here quite often and the last few times we’ve noticed something about the chips tasting rancid. The first time our two we thought it was just a fluke, but we Went in last night for cinco de mayo and ordered the nachos locos with shredded chicken.
As we waited we were served chips and salsa. They were good but again there was the occasional rancid foul tasting chip. Our nachos came out and looked amazing, individual chips fully loaded with beans and chicken, a big meal enough to split with my wife! As soon as we took our first bit we noticed the same rancid flavor of the chip the nachos were loaded up on. The rancid flavor was very strong on the big chips that we just took half home with us for breakfast. This morning we reheated them along with some slices avocado and an egg, but still couldn’t get past the rancid chips…
So disappointing, this isn’t something i experience ever at other Mexican restaurants and I’ve grown quite fond of Macarenas because the drinks and service are spot on!
Sadly i will probably think twice about going back again.

Macarena Taco Shop and Margarita Bar is a great Mexican restaurant in Bedford and we will definitely be back. I got the combination plate and everything on there was amazing.
The meat used for the tacos was incredibly flavorful, the tamale was loaded with shredded pork and had a great ratio of pork to corn meal and the cheese enchilada was just plain delicious. My wife got fish tacos and they were beer battered and crunchy with great flavor. Her plate was colorful and just looked inviting. Overall from start to finish this place is an easy place to recommend. If you go try the fish tacos and combo plates and take a picture of your plate like we did.

Do yourself a favor and try this place!, I'm mad that I havent given this place a try before. Everything we ordered was delicious and the staff was very nice! It was also very reasonably priced.
