Taken over by Pappas Restaurants in 2026, the Houston-based family-owned and operated group. The quality of the food and the service of the staff is outstanding, comparing to quality of other Pappas restaurants. A great improvement from the former.
The chicken salad is fabulous with the lime vinegar on it!!! The chips and salsa are so good.I can eat until i'm sick!!! And we love the big old burrito and the state plate that has the beans and rice!!! We have never had a bad meal here.It has always been great and the servers are fabulous!!!
Since On The Border updated their entire menu and moved to more made-from-scratch items, it can definitely be a great choice for Tex-Mex. The service was great, and the atmosphere still feels familiar and consistent with how it’s always been. That said, I personally preferred the old fajitas much more than the new version. Overall, still a solid experience with friendly service and a comfortable atmosphere.
