Cafe Blue at Hill Country Galleria

I rarely leave reviews, however my wife and I had an amazing experience tonight.

It was her 47th birthday, Tristian H was our waiter, and he was incredible! He was attentive, he made small talk with us, and went out of his way to make tonight wonderful.

I don’t remember the last time I had a waiter that seems to love what he does. He brought us sauces from the kitchen to make the meal even better. We did not ask this of him, they didn’t have a sauce we asked for, and he could have apologized for not having it, and that would have been fine. Instead he came out with sauces similar that the kitchen uses on other dishes.

He made sure we knew which oysters were which on our platter, without being asked to.

We finished dining a few minutes after closing time, and there was no rush to get us out. He hooked us up with some fresh bread, which is fantastic, to go because they toss what they don’t use at the end of the night.

My wife had complications from a surgery years ago and is handicapped, and thus we don’t eat out often these days and generally only on special occasions.

Tristian couldn’t have known that, but I wanted to give him a shout out for making a special night more memorable without him knowing he did so. The night wouldn’t have been as wonderful without his hospitality.

It’s refreshing to see someone go above and beyond, and the food and drink was terrific!

Highly recommend, GREAT food, very fresh , service was amazing. We will be going back, this one of the best places I have eaten at in a LONG time!

A mixed bag... my wife loved the coconut shrimp, but the Ahi was seared on one side and raw throughout the rest of the portion.

Cafe Blue catered the fajitas for our company's party barge outing and they were a hit with the whole team. The beef and chicken fajitas were flavorful, generous, and perfect for a big group event. Easy to work with and delicious food, exactly what we needed for the day. Would happily order from them again for our next company gathering!

Quiet and classy lunch place with the best New England clam chowder you will ever have. Excellent Reuben and Cuban sandwiches and seafood

I think our waiter was a newbie. My order was incorrect but they corrected it, however, they did not offer a free dessert or anything for the mix up

All the employees are extremely nice and the owner came out and had a chat and was really nice and seemed to genuinely care about his staff. Although it’s a bit pricey you definitely get what you pay for, I was barely able to finish due to the quantity.

Incredible bar back was such a great experience! I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to because the bar back deserves some serious recognition. This guy was an absolute machine the entire night. While everyone notices the bartenders, he was the one making sure everything ran flawlessly behind the scenes. Constantly moving, restocking, helping the staff, checking on guests, and doing it all with an incredible attitude. I’ve honestly never seen someone work that hard without missing a beat.

The level of hustle, professionalism, and attention to detail was unreal. You can tell he genuinely cares about making sure everyone has a great experience, and the whole restaurant benefits because of him. Employees like this are incredibly rare, and he deserves every bit of recognition the restaurant can give him. If I owned this place, I’d be doing everything possible to keep him around. He made an already great experience unforgettable.

Great Food

Have always loved Cafe Blue. Recently went with a group of friends motivated by happy hour. When my bill came nothing was half price. At that point server explained only one of the oyster types were half price and not the ones he had recommended. Ordered a Chardonnay and he said just house Chardonnay but at bill time he said the one he brought was not half price. The food was good but came out feeling happy hour advertising and server were misleading.

Ambiance was good, although the back room was warm. Had to ask for ice several times but even it kept melting. Mahi Mahi tacos were dry.

Great food

Stopped in for lunch. I had the Nashville chicken wrap and my husband had the turkey club. Really great food and fresh brewed iced tea. Really great service!
