My wife & I have dined at Cafe Blue many, many times over the past ~10 years. It has always been very good, above average. Last night our dining experience was exceptional. The sliced, rare Ahi Tuna steak served with mashed potatoes and asparagus was excellent. My wife, who is very picky about her fish, had the Halibut and loved it. We pushed the wune pairing a bit with the 2021 Klinker Brick Zinfandel. Thoroughly enjoyable... and topped off the dinner with their wonderful key lime pie. I don't know what has changed in the kitchen recently, however, it has definitely taken a big step up.

Great girls Dinner on a Wednesday. Food was excellent, and half price wine was a bonus. Dining room was quiet enough to have a great conversation. We will be back!

We had an AMAZING evening at Cafe Blue. The decor reminds of a slightly upscale beachfront cafe and the ambiance is relaxed, casual (I was in shorts), and easy. Our server (Jazz) was very knowledgeable and friendly. My wife is a very picky eater - Yet, she said this was the best meal (grilled fresh fish) she's had in the Austin area. I had fresh oysters and steak - both recommended by Jazz - and they were excellent and memorable. We will be back very soon!

Always great food and a great thing to do before the summer shows at Hill Country Galleria. Ceviche was top notch

We had the best experience at Cafe Blue last night! It was our first time dining there! The vibe of the restaurant was really fun! We were welcomed and congratulated on our 31st Anniversary by the Hostess, Manager and all Wait Staff that interacted with us which made us feel special! The food was amazing! I had the seafood gumbo and the crab stuffed shrimp and my husband had the caesar salad and the filet. We wrapped up with the molten chocolate cake and Amy's vanilla ice cream. A wonderful experience!

1. Drinks were very (10-15 minutes) slow and 3 were not good- no Shirley Temple due to lack of grenadine; dirty martini was putrid; ordered Rose w choice of bubbly or flat- ordered bubbly but flat delivered. 2. Our 7 year old was given etch a sketch- very nice. After 15 minutes server returned and took it away saying other kids might need it because of menu on back!!! There were no other kids present 3. Manager came by just before the check and agreed dirty martini looked like “San Antonio river water”.

I have been going there for years and they never disappoint. It always surprises me when a menu remains static over time. This place is a 20 minute drive for us and so we haven’t Ben there for a while and I was surprised that the menu was exactly what I remembered. I guess if you always do it right, then why change. I had salmon and the wife had ahi tuna. Exquisitely delicious and beyond satisfied. Great meal, thank you

Crab cakes were excellent!

The quality of the food is consistently good, and so is the value. Prices are pretty reasonable too.

Food took 50 minutes to arrive. We ordered everything when we ordered our drinks. Way too long to wait.

I called and was told the Father's Day brunch would include the buffet that is done on Mother's Day. It was the regular brunch and the food was just okay. It was not as good as it has been in the past.

We took friends as our guests. Honestly, if it had just been my husband and myself, I would have complained right then. The French fries were inedible. May not seem like a big deal, but my friend's favorite thing is fried shrimp and French fries. She loves that combination! That is the main reason we took her to Cafe Blue - so that she could get her favorite meal. The fries looked like they were from the day before, and cold! Shriveled up, dark little pieces of potato. I would have been ashamed to send them out. They were with my lobster roll, and I could not eat mine either.

Our waiting staff sucked 😒

You know how some restaurants are going to be by how one appetizer comes out? If it’s Mexican and the queso dip doesn’t measure up then you know the rest is going to be. For me, it’s calamari. Doesn’t matter if it’s Italian or Seafood. If the calamari isn’t great then… well you know. Cafe Blue is a nice restaurant with cool ambiance, low noise level, clean, well designed and the service was satisfactory. But then the calamari came out. The crust was perfect and portions were good. But I chewed and chewed and chewed some more. You would think that most chefs know that if calamari is cooked too long, it’s going to be rubbery. These bad boys make Goodyear offroads taste tender. Now the rest of the meal was okay but the tone was set and well it was just another mediocre meal. Maybe start with something else and they’ll get it right.
