Runaway is my favorite coffee / food spot in the area. We’ve been going for years and have come to really get to know the owners and staff. They’re extremely warm and welcoming and are all about their customers’ experience. They have a wide range of delicious food but this in particular is now my “go to” favorite. Almost looks too good to eat!

I just need to share some love for this amazing café. I’ve been a loyal customer of Runaway Luna for years, and I must say that each new iteration is simply incredible. They consistently upgrade their offerings, which is a testament to their dedication to the community and their commitment to making it better.

One of the things I love most about Runaway Luna is how they adapt to the changing seasons. They bring in unique and adorable items, and I’ve even acquired a beautiful beaded camera strap, a leather wallet, and a longhorn hat magnet. There’s something for everyone here, and I genuinely enjoy visiting this local café that goes far beyond being just a coffee shop.

The food and drinks here are simply amazing. My personal favorites include the honeycomb latte, and the Luna alfresco. For treats, I can’t resist their cake pops or the cookies with raspberry jam in the center. But let’s not forget their breakfast tacos, croissants, and egg bites—they’re all equally delicious.

This isn't just a cafe and boutique, it's a sweet community where you always feel welcomed and nourished. From the delicious and creative fare, to the kindest staff around, entering its doors is like walking into a cozy hug. They have really created something special here in Bee Cave. (Extra star for always having a good playlist spinning!)

Lovely staff but the Matche latte tasted bland

Nice surprise. Gluten free chocolate, peanut butter cups, iced dark Mocha and Latte were damn tasty. Worthy of a repeat visit

I’ve been coming here since they first opened in 2019 and it’s still my favorite latte I’ve had in Austin. The food, atmosphere , and friendly staff are all 12/10. Hannah in particular does a wonderful job curating good vibes and great customer service. It’s also a hidden gem for neat hand made gifts and goods!

The best Avocado Toast in Austin!

Unique little Cafe and Coffee shop. On one side they have gifts that would be very novel to purchase. Purses, hats, coffee mugs, water glasses, journals, books...The items are both vintage and new. Eclectic and unique.

The cafe on the right are little square tables with beautiful natural light streaming in from the front floor to ceiling windows. I didn't take any photos of the baked goods but I should have! It is not your typical coffee shop Fair of scones and croissants.. but much much more! Scratch made varieties that would make anybody's pallet happy.

There is a lot of greenery and baked goods and pretty things over where the baristas are so I was a little confused at first where to order my drink. But all I needed to do is ask and they happily directed me and made my drink.

I had not been here before. My husband and I were coming back through Austin to Fredericksburg from a night away. We found it on Google and thought we would check it out. I would definitely come back.

One of my favorite places to grab a coffee and a bite. I absolutely love their avocado toast and honeycomb latte. There’s also a cute little boutique inside with some really nice items. Oh, and there was this amazing young lady named Saman who was super professional and friendly!

Runaway Luna was one of the first great gifts to come to my little hometown. I wonder if people realize how magical and blessed of a gift it is to have Aussie made highhhhh quality coffee in our little town. The staff is so well traveled, incredibly kind and authentic. This sweetly tight knit, family run business takes such care and reverence for their craft of artisan service and genuine community building. I have been coming in for years and thank god for this sweet little cultural oasis every time I come in! Truly the best coffee and breakfast in Lake Travis.

Great friendly atmosphere. Excellent service. Amazing coffee and food. I took one bite of the sausage roll in tomato sauce and I was transported back to my childhood. Very Aussie.

Won’t ever go back.

We live 10 min from here and have gone there many times over the last year.

I finally have decided I won’t spend another $ there & here’s why…

Food is good & it has cute decor so it’s deceiving but the reason I won’t go back is the pushy, rude and scarcity energy from the owner.
Before you even are asked what you want to order they try to get you to buy a mimosa and many extra pastries. It feels frustrating to not be listened to and respected as a customer.

Last time I was there the owner left a business meeting she was in to bolt across the store and start selling me odd random items without asking me questions. I was just a mom that had 10 min of silence from my toddler and wanted to browse what seemed like cute items. Now I had an obnoxious woman telling me to buy items that weren’t related to what I need at all. Felt very codependent & off putting.

Second, there are MANY glass items. I don’t recommend children or families going here. If something happens to break on accident, the owners response was rude and shaming to me & my 2 year old.

The owner has many other reviews where she was Abrupt, aggressive, and rude in her response and mine was the exact same. I also watched her speak to an employee (possible family member) for her outfit which I thought was cute. Watching the girl walk away like a scared shaking dog that is over worked and under appreciated made me get a pit in my stomach. (I hope she gets away & understand why they are understaffed).

The barista walked back to greet people with a smile after I’m sure feeling embarrassed for being shamed about her outfit? This also took place out in the open I don’t want to know what it’s like to work for her behind those kitchen doors.

I don’t recommend for anyone.
