Runaway Luna was one of the first great gifts to come to my little hometown. I wonder if people realize how magical and blessed of a gift it is to have Aussie made highhhhh quality coffee in our little town. The staff is so well traveled, incredibly kind and authentic. This sweetly tight knit, family run business takes such care and reverence for their craft of artisan service and genuine community building. I have been coming in for years and thank god for this sweet little cultural oasis every time I come in! Truly the best coffee and breakfast in Lake Travis.

Great friendly atmosphere. Excellent service. Amazing coffee and food. I took one bite of the sausage roll in tomato sauce and I was transported back to my childhood. Very Aussie.

Great little spot for good coffee, snacks and a huge array of gifts and homewares. Loved my black coffee and lemon cake. Thank you❤️
Won’t ever go back.
We live 10 min from here and have gone there many times over the last year.
I finally have decided I won’t spend another $ there & here’s why…
Food is good & it has cute decor so it’s deceiving but the reason I won’t go back is the pushy, rude and scarcity energy from the owner.
Before you even are asked what you want to order they try to get you to buy a mimosa and many extra pastries. It feels frustrating to not be listened to and respected as a customer.
Last time I was there the owner left a business meeting she was in to bolt across the store and start selling me odd random items without asking me questions. I was just a mom that had 10 min of silence from my toddler and wanted to browse what seemed like cute items. Now I had an obnoxious woman telling me to buy items that weren’t related to what I need at all. Felt very codependent & off putting.
Second, there are MANY glass items. I don’t recommend children or families going here. If something happens to break on accident, the owners response was rude and shaming to me & my 2 year old.
The owner has many other reviews where she was Abrupt, aggressive, and rude in her response and mine was the exact same. I also watched her speak to an employee (possible family member) for her outfit which I thought was cute. Watching the girl walk away like a scared shaking dog that is over worked and under appreciated made me get a pit in my stomach. (I hope she gets away & understand why they are understaffed).
The barista walked back to greet people with a smile after I’m sure feeling embarrassed for being shamed about her outfit? This also took place out in the open I don’t want to know what it’s like to work for her behind those kitchen doors.
I don’t recommend for anyone.

$9 for basically just almond milk and barely any matcha
Runaway Luna is one of our favorite spots in Austin. The food is always amazing (the sausage roll and egg tacos are our go-tos) and the pastries and drinks are delicious (they make the best matcha latte!!). Our kids can never have enough of their cake pops too! We love Kathy & Hanna so much. They are the kindest people. The hospitality, service and atmosphere there is 10/10! We can’t recommend this place enough to our friends and family🤍
Dietary restrictions: Love that they have gluten free options for those with allergies!

The pastries here are fresh and delicious. Hannah always whips up something great from a fun seasonal drink to a simple latte. Never a drop left. The location is convenient. Their boutique unique finds.
Parking: When there isn’t street parking, there is a nearby garage that always has parking available.

I made the mistake of stopping here to grab coffee and breakfast on my way to work. I had voted at Bee Cave City Hall then googled coffee shop and Runaway Luna came up. I did not realize it was a sit-down restaurant, and the owner made a rude comment about taking my order to go. Weird flex to get my return business, but I brushed it off as I respect their model. That part of the story is not review worthy, but the line behind me was. Two adults ordered next and as they turned to avoid the family behind them a candle that was too close to the register was knocked to the ground and shattered. The owner made a rude comment and forced them to pay full price for the damage. Again, I understand the small business model and every cent is important, but the owner’s words were berating and actions appalling. The family next in line left without ordering so in a span of five minutes, the owner cost herself three groups of new/returning business. I’ve since gone back through the shop reviews, and this seems to be consistent behavior - the owner will reply with a condescending tone and gaslight the negative reviewer instead of trying to improve their customer service.

We were visiting from out of town for a wedding and the staff could not be sweeter! They were great at recommending drinks and snacks. We had a group of 6 of us and they made sure there was a table to accommodate us. We loved it so much we came back again the next day. Thank you for taking such good care of us!

To start off, this is not your grab n' go coffee place. At $8 + for a latte, not many will add this place into their morning coffee run.
BUT, if your looking for a quality latte or a little treat after a crazy week, this place has really solid lattes (I can't attest to anything else). My favorite is their Iced Dirty Chai - they do a great job at balancing the sweet/non-sweet if you ask for it half-sweetened.
I feel that if their coffee prices weren't so high, maybe more people would be inclined to tip the sweet baristas. Just a thought. But overall, I enjoy coming here randomly for a Dirty Chai and to "window shop" the cute items they have for sale inside.

I spent $8.50 on an iced coffee drink today with no complaints but when I asked for a to go cup as I hadn’t finished my coffee by the time I was leaving, they tried to charge me $.50. Now I’m wondering if they secretly tack on a fee with every to go order??
Between that and the lack of WiFi, I don’t think I’ll go back anytime soon.
I usually get their cold brew, which is fine, nothing amazing, but Runaway Luna has the best vibe for a coffee shop in bee cave so I’ve been going. I’ll stick to Summer Moon going forward.

This charming coffee shop transported me to a quaint European café. The moment I stepped in, I was enveloped in a warm, artistic atmosphere - wooden furniture, lush plants, and crisp white walls adorned with vases and essential oils. The vintage vibes are perfectly balanced with modern touches.
But what truly shines is the exceptional coffee and pastry selection! Rich, smooth flavors and expertly crafted brews. The pastries are freshly baked and divine.
A perfect haven for coffee connoisseurs, artists, and anyone seeking a tranquil retreat. Friendly staff, too!
