I reviewed this place 8 years ago complaining about cold food. I tried it again today and was equally as disappointed. For the price I expected some really good barbecue but I was ultimately disappointed. I don't mind paying for food meat but my brisket sandwich was dry and almost inedible, but I struggled through it due to the price. The sides were the warmest part of the meal, but they were way over priced. Probably will be back again in another 8 years and will be disappointed...
I'll preface by saying the food was fine and I had no issues with it. Was it the best BBQ I've ever had? Not really even close, but it wasn't bad at all. That being said the price -> quality level is INSANE. I got a chopped beef sandwich, Mac n cheese, and a drink... $33!!!! For 33 bucks i could go 500 feet down the road to HEB and get a whole brisket to cook myself that would be better. 33 bucks is expensive even for a 2 meat plate much less approach sandwich!

After returning from a trip we were craving Texas BBQ and headed to Schmidt Family Barbecue. It was an early lunch and the place was not busy yet and ordered Smoked Turkey Breast, Kreuz Original Sausage, Potato Salad, and sweet tea. The staff were great in preparing our order.
